Hillary wins the popular vote

It means Hillary got more popular votes. That's what it means...

And thanks to the Founders' brilliance, the big cities didn't get to tell everybody else who was going to president. Without the Electoral College, we'd have been destroyed by the Gore-Clinton cabal....you should thank your lucky stars for the Founder's wisdom.

It is what it is. They'll probably still claim some kind of "mandate " to do whatever they want.

Hillary LOST.

Hillary has been REJECTED TWICE now by Americans.

The Exit polls showed 78% of Americans wanted a strong leader to change the direction this country is headed in.....that direction / course was set by Obama...and helped moved along by Hillary.

The Exit polls showed 72% of ALL Voters (Not just GOP) believe the traditional parties don't give a damn about the actual voters.

The exit polls showed 68% of ALL voters believe that the economy, helped put into place by the Clintons, is rigged to help rich elitists and politicians, not the average American citizen...

Approx 70% of Americans wanted a change from everything Hillary Clinton Represented.

In 2014 the media declared the loss the Democrats suffered in that election was 'an historic, records-setting ass whooping'

in 2016, after last night, the media is again claiming this was an historic election in which every poll, every prediction, every pre-election analysis tool massively failed to read the American people and predict the outcome of this election...to their liberal horror.

A majority of Americans polled have declared for approximately a DECADE now that they have felt the country was headed in the wrong direction, however, the elitist, globalist, self-serving, status quo-embracing politicians in Washington were too focused on the direction they were intent on FORCING this country to go, NOT on what the people were saying, which again was that they felt the country was going in the wrong direction.

Maybe NOW - after a 2nd 'HISTORIC LOSS' - these politicians will HEAR the American people and choose to REPRESENT them. I honestly do NOT think so because even NOW, today, the despots still DON'T CARE what the people want and are STILL determined to FORCE the country to go in the direction they - the politicians - want!

just my humble opinion....

I don't like her either. Despite that and everything you said above, more people voted for her than Trump. That doesn't equate to a mandate for Trump.

The mandate lies in the power of keeping the two houses of Congress...
Deal with it... pbo had this in his first 2 years... All he done was ramrod Obamacare down the throats of the voters...

Yeah. Instead, we were blessed with the Bush / Cheney disaster that we are still trying to recover from.

Your boy had 8 years to fix that, but it's still Bush's fault?

2016 Presidential Election Live Results

Democrats have now won the popular vote in six of the last seven presidential elections.

Donald Trump will be the next president of the United States. But it’s nearly certain that Hillary Clinton got more votes.

That will mean that for the second time in 16 years, Democrats will have lost the White House despite winning the popular vote.

With votes still trickling in, Clinton held about a 200,000-vote edge in the popular contest, even as Trump appeared headed for a stronger Electoral College win than George W. Bush secured in his first election ― when he lost the popular vote by 500,000 ballots.

How could that happen? The short answer is key Democratic voters didn’t bother to go vote, while white Republican voters in rural areas of swing states did.

Democrats Likely To Win Popular Vote And Lose Presidency For Second Time In Less Than 20 Years

In other word - most American voters wanted Hillary for president.

In other words- the system worked the way the framers intended.

The Electoral College: Enlightened Democracy

The Electoral College was considered to fit perfectly within this republican, federalist government that had been created. The system would allow majorities to rule, but only while they were reasonable, broad-based, and not tyrannical. The election process was seen as a clever solution to the seemingly unsolvable problem facing the Convention -- finding a fair method of selecting the Executive for a nation composed of both large and small states that have ceded some, but not all, of their sovereignty to a central government. "`[T]he genius of the present [Electoral College] system,'" a 1970 Senate report concluded, "`is the genius of a popular democracy organized on the federal principle.'"34

Let's be honest... it was the Trumpslide we were waiting for.

You realize that the margin you're excited about is LESS than the number of votes that Gary Johnson got in some states. It's not really a convincing "win".. Especially when you look at the electoral results.. Just means California is too far gone..

The illegal's spawn don't really count, Trump wins the popular vote. :eusa_dance:

Trump may only get 49% of the vote but he's going to be 100% President of The United States of America.

Repeat after me, dimocraps, "President Trump. President Trump. President Trump"

They're still counting votes BTW....

One last time, I can't help but congratulate the Democrats and Hillary on a job well done, for receiving the popular vote. This couldn't have been achieved if not for the great state of California .

A disaster of that magnitude may take decades to recover from. Especially when every effort to get something done is blocked, opposed, and filibustered. But now Trump and the republicans own everything, so all the blame can be laid at their feet when nothing gets fixed.

Don't forget 4 decades of illegal immigrant parents and their anchor babies, thousands of dead voters, a shitload of hacked voting machines......

Hillary got the votes she needed. She just didn't manufacture them in the right States.
