Home Depot: Our Suppliers Are Moving Out Of China

View attachment 276235

Expect stories and reports coming out of China now that Trump has destroyed the lives of children slaving away in sweat shops, because they no longer have jobs.

Home Depot says suppliers are moving manufacturing out of China to avoid tariffs
The company’s suppliers are moving some manufacturing to other countries, including Taiwan and Vietnam.

They're never coming home, which is what Trump promised but everyone with a brain knew wouldn't happen.
Who cares, as long as it hurts China? Hurting China is how we will get rid of their unfair tarrifs.
I don't know much about it, but what I read is that China subsidizes a lot of their companies (they're communist so they can) and it allows them to sell their goods cheaper than anyone else can. That's not exactly a tariff. I don't know what you call it. But I don't see how we're going to get them to stop, either. EVERY country has tariffs on some stuff coming in to their country, to protect their own businesses, farmers, whatever. Don't they?
When I worked, pumps we manufactured in China was 6% Duty on fake leather shoes, 10% Duty on importing leather shoes and 37 1/2% duty on imports of fabric shoes.... The USA still had a fabric shoe industry at the time... bridal, died prom shoes, evening shoes etc.... so the USA was protecting those shoe manufacturing businesses at the time.... but sometimes, even with the 37.5% duty, plus freight costs to boat it here, it was still cheaper made in China than USA made....

I'm not certain if a duty, is a tariff, but it seems like it is the same?

by now, a couple of decades later...

I think the USA fabric shoe manufacturing is now lying next to the leather shoe manufacturing in a graveyard cemetary.... :(

Actually, Care, you can still buy shoes and boots that are made here in the USA. According to reports, Red Wing boots and shoes still make around 60 percent of their products here in the USA, although they may use foreign sourced components on some.

Here is a breakdown....................

Are Red Wing Boots Made in the USA? - All American Reviews

We decided to test this 60% claim. We took a look at every single work boot style available on the Red Wing website and where they are made. Here is a breakdown of their origin, according to the website.

  • Made in USA – 25.8%
  • Made in the USA with Imported Materials – 18.7%
  • Assembled in the USA with Imported Components – 1.0%
  • Made in Cambodia – 15.2%
  • Made in China – 28.8%
  • Made in Vietnam – 10.6%
Although we did not look at Red Wing’s entire set of products, our results are rather disappointing with only 25.8% of work boots being fully made in the USA. If you’d like to take a look for yourself, Red Wing lists the country of origin in the “About” section of each of their product pages (screenshot below).

Good thing they dont import avocados from china or the simpleton leftist nazi retards might of noticed

“We have data of country of origin in potential tariff impact literally down to the SKU, so we know exactly what are on the various lists, when the tariff impacts will hit,” he said.

Retailers have been trying to avoid passing the costs of the tariffs down to consumers by diversifying their supply chains to countries outside of China.

china can with stand anything because drumpf is Hitler ...and socialism ! derrrp deerp derp derp derp

China’s small banks still struggling to obtain funds to lend three months after first bank failure in 20 years

Baoshang Bank was taken over by the government in May, with HengFeng Bank and the Bank of Jinzhou also since requiring help

Slowing Chinese economy is putting pressure on the loan portfolios of small banks, many of whose customers have been hit hard by the US-China trade war

MY motto for over a decade
When China implodes be somewhere else
Physically and financially

What Chinese cars?
Just because Americans dont buy them, doesnt mean they dont exist.

They don't here.
...because we dont buy them. Thats only reason they arent here.

So we could place a 100% subsidy and it really wouldn't matter so what is the point?
Hey retard, do you even read the posts you quote? I said it was one example, of many examples.

So what? My question is , what is the point?

Thank You!!

YES, I do know that.... even the company I worked for, manufactured some of our product in smaller factories here in the USA....(Texas) we duel sourced our biggest selling items in case we had a good customer that needed a large order of refills Quickly.... can't get anything quick from China... we ordered product for delivery 6 months out from China... with us, it was most were made in China, the USA source was much more expensive, but because the company got such a deal on the China produced product, we could afford taking a hit on the mark up, of the USA produced product!

There are a few shoe manufacturers in the USA, here and there..... but 95% of the shoe manufacturers that once produced footwear here, are made elsewhere now... initially Hong Kong but now, China... for primarily dress shoes and sandals, Brazil primarily- casual leather shoes and casual sandals, Korea and Taiwan- for sneakers and athletic shoes.... we manufactured shoes all over the place like Vietnam, the Philippines, Mexico, Indonesia, India, etc... but those first few listed... were the key countries....

I ponder the impact of an E.O. requiring all Chines goods be prominently labelled: "Made In Communist China".

Surely that would reduce sales to actual Americans but the economic loss would be mitigated by the increase in purchases, at greatly inflated prices, by pseudo-American liberals. Not that they need the stuff - just that they want to support the party.

Every item made in China is labelled "Made in China". People don't care.

You are clueless
So are you.
You just hate America you are pathetic

Old Lady does not hate America at all and in fact she love this country as much as the next person.

I might give Old Lady a lot of crap but she does not deserve that comment.

She is clueless at time so educate her and she will admit her wrong if shown...
