A total of five have gone bankrupt, according to the House Committee on Energy and Commerce. All of the failed companies that the Committee identified came from just two programs that received significant dollar amounts from the Department of Energy. Those two programs funded 63 firms. The other 58 are still in business. That's a failure rate of about 8%.

Of course he wants to work. Only problem is, that the jobs he can do have been outsourced to other countries (like China and India) because the CEO's over here want more money, and they can't go against the bottom line, otherwise their investors won't give them more money.

BTW..............Solyindra is a poor example to use. No.................Obama didn't have any cronies on the board raking in money from the government (no matter how much you right wingers wish it was true).

And.........................can you provide a link that proves Michelle Obama buys a 6,000 dollar gown every week? I'm guessing you can't, because on occasion, she shops at Target.

Politically it went to people who supported the President. When Halliburton received no-bid contracts from the federal government while their CEO was the VP...we had a company getting favorable treatment from an adminstration that was friendly to them. What Obama did was not invented in 2008.

Full disclosure--Halliburton was big in Kosovo/Bosnia too.
