Secretary Clinton has not had a week, likely so far, like this one in the current Presidential Campaign. And then it's on to the Benghazi Investigation Committee itself, now so discredited as to likely be de-funded within weeks. Not one political career has been launched, with basis in the investigation. The main victim of the investigation now appears to be the House Majority Leader, a Republican from California. The downfall of the Republican Party as a governing brand even now finds not one of them even daring to want to be Speaker of the House. And it cost over $4.0 mil. and counting.

To cement the doom of the investigation, then likely the Committee will go ahead with a further interview of Secretary Clinton, October 22. That will be even more money spent, demonstrating the inability of the Republicans to even create a national candidate, from their own elected people.
There was the McCarthy debacle, followed by the glaring revelation of the partisan turn of the investigation. The Administration brought the possible National Security problem under the jurisdiction of the FBI--not the Republicans, or the Committee. The count of the money spent on the partisan organizations doing all the "investigatory reviews" has not been started. That will be in addition to the squandering of the money by that Committee Chairman, likely the next victim, soon after next week
The House Majority Leader has no fall-back protection against the disaster, now his political career. Soon the Committee Chairman, and possibly some members, will themselves have no chance to testify before the Committee, explaining their actions and their emails(?).
