How did the Americans manage to create such a grandiose architecture in such a short time?

Los Angeles in the 20s is already full of cars and advertising lights, this is real America.

Around 1940, Hitler was trying to start producing a modest folk car, the Volkswagen.

And the Germans have kept up just fine. The Volkswagon was a breakthrough for simple, useable transportation. And if utilitarian doesn't work for you, there are always cars built by Mercedes and Porsche.

I hope England will soon catch up with this backwardness

Hey, you were the one saying russia had just begun building 5 story buildings in the 1950s, not me.

I guess the height of the building is your definition of "grandiose architecture"?

First of all, the architecture of Europe does not look like a barn. The cathedrals alone show major artistic work.

But in the US there was major money. And much of it was new money. These captains of industry liked to show off by building the biggest and best.
Also the World Fairs back then had a lot to do with it and how America wanted to show off to the World it accomplishments and how it wasn’t some third world shit hole.

Sometimes it seems to me that Europe is really nothing more than a media illusion, and there is nothing there but sheds. A friend of mine was in Hamburg about 10 years ago, and he said that he walked one block from the hotel, and saw homeless people and a drug dump there, and the police patrol did not pay attention to it.

Products from Europe are one piece of shit. Czechoslovakian boots were much better than Dutch ones. In the UK they don't do anything other than hand built cars, regular English SUVs are complete shit. Their clothes are complete shit. German brand Adidas is shit.

German mid-range cars after 2000 are complete shit.
Their Bosch power tool used to be okay, but now it's also shit. In Europe there is nothing but shit and motherfuckers. They can't handle the wild pigs, they've dig all over Germany. They are only good at building brothels with whores from Eastern Europe. German whores are also shit. They don't even know how to make whores.

It's not hard to imagine what level of construction technology the US had to have to build skyscrapers in New York in the 1920s. What kind of steelmaking production should have been in order to build frames and fittings for such dangerous structures. This is something from the realm of fantasy.

But how could Germany set up mass production of such high-quality tanks, if it could not even set up the production of "people's cars"?

Hmmm, someone doesn’t like Western Europe it seem…

English SUVs are complete shit? lol Land Rover might argue that point.

As for Europe, I have not traveled there extensively. But what I have seen is certainly not sheds. In fact, the most beautiful architecture I have seen, other than churches/cathedrals, is the train station in Amsterdam.

You can find ghettos anywhere. But that is not the entirety of Europe, any more than it is the entirety of America.

America was founded by unwanted Europeans, so understand Blacks, Asians, and Europeans along with Hispanic help build this fine nation, so did some Twink from Western Europe break your heart and that is why you hate Western Europe so much?

The main Volkswagon factory was unwanted by all of the Allied nations. They got it up and running mainly to keep the German population busy. The factory was so damaged by the war, production could not happen on rainy days or when it was snowing. From such meager beginnings and empire was built.

He should come to Austin to get a good look at today American Inner City, but I digress you can find that anywhere in the World…

Apparently, all the technologies of the "technical revolution" of the 19th century were brought to Europe from America. And it is absolutely known that in the USSR in the 20s and 30s the industry was built according to American technologies, by American specialists from American materials and components, and some of this equipment is still working. There are, for example, American steel-smelting furnaces that have been operating in Russia since the 1930s.

Not all, but a significant number of those new technologies.

While I will not argue that the U.S. did make marvelous strides in it Industry and Architecture the fact is it was influenced by Europeans…
