My SECOND favorite bluesman, all-time. Wolf was a fearsome performer live. He had a voice that had to be heard to be believed. He was also a fine harmonica player, and could play rudimentary guitar. And he was a huge influence on rock and blues musicians alike. A TRUE original. Thanks for the post, Harry.

A Willie Dixon song that Howling Wolf covered, and made more popular. Many of Howling Wolf's covers of WD's songs are way better than the originals, in my opinion. Spoonful, and Three hundred Pounds, for a start.

Back Door Man was also a WD song that HW covered.

Koko Taylor, a fine Chicago BLUES lady, recorded the song, as well. Her version, in my opinion, is as good as Wolf's.
