I just think that the Catholics should be honest about it and admit that all of those impossible bible stories could have been accepted and 'were' accepted as the literal truth, before Darwin.

Many Christians still do but aren't honest enough to themselves to claim they're still true.

And then there are some honest exceptions that still believe they are true. They have to believe that their bibles are the literal true word of the god. We have some of those on this forum!

Poll some southern American Baptists who think Darwin got it all wrong.
That kind of thinking goes arm in arm with literal interpretation of the bibles.
