What makes you liberal? Do you understand even the first thing about liberal political theory, in which case you should be proud, or do you simply say all the same things about all the same matters as those others who also call themselves liberal?

One of the very essential elements of liberal political theory involves protection from the tyranny of the majority. Taking away the ability of people to control their own destiny by investing power in a centralized bureaucracy of unelected individuals does not provide that, and considering this same bureaucracy is responsible for the mass invasion of Islamists with no use for enlightened values, I would say that somebody needs to go back to the drawing board here.

Why would someone have a problem with mutlculturalism? So long as the rule of law is maintained, there are no drawbacks to a multicultural society.

If you were to pay attention, you'd know that the reason that European nations are having a much more negative experience with immigrant populations ( specifically those from primarily Muslim nations ) than we are......is precisely due to the fact that they are not presenting said immigrants with the opportunity to assimilate. They are segregating these immigrant populations. Here...we allow and expect mutilculturalism. So...we don't have anywhere near the issues.

Oh the glories of multiculturalism, which only works well in the imagination of dreamers. Europeans are not presenting "said immigrants" with opportunities to assimilate, so said muslim immigrants cause terror, death, and destruction, like they do in every country they invade. After this year, especially, I think the word should be worn with pride. If liberal means wanting to help children fleeing a dictator’s barrel-bombs, then call me a liberal. There is no definition of elite or metropolitan that does not include those two.

I'm not "proud to be liberal", I am a liberal, but more because someone has classified what I am into an easy to understand filling system. The reality is I'm very different from other liberals, I don't see other liberals and instantly think they're good people, or that they have the right way forward or any of that. I'm proud to be me, not proud to be a classification.
