Not according to Joe Biden thirty some years ago! He stated that Ronald Reagan shouldn't be allowed to put a new Supreme Court Justice on the court if a vacancy occurred late in Reagan's term in office...that the voice of the voters should be heard.

So what's happened since then? Quite obviously...it's a Democrat that wasn't allowed to appoint a new Justice late in his term rather than a Republican...which simply highlights how hypocritical you on the left have become!

You're taking it completely out of context. Biden's remark was an effort to prevent the politicizing of naming a SC justice. He didn't want a political campaign and the naming of a judge to happen at the same time because it would cause mistrust of the process. He only wanted to keep the naming of a judge on a non political basis. Look at the context

Seriously? You think what the Democrats are doing now is "non political"? Neil Gorsuch has one of the highest ratings of any judge working in our judicial system and comes highly recommended by not only conservatives in the legal profession but also liberals who have worked with him in the past. He's breezed through his confirmation hearings. This is nothing BUT a political move by the far left! They lost the election and now they refuse to allow the GOP winner to seat a Justice. When Barack Obama won he was allowed to seat TWO Justices! Two extremely left wing Justices!

You mean the "kind of crap" that's going on now? Donald Trump had ZERO to do with Barack Obama not being able to name a third Supreme Court Justice...that was between Barry and Mitch McConnell.

Donald Trump is the legally elected President of the United States and one of his DUTIES is to nominate Justices to the Supreme Court. He's chosen a very competent man to fill that open slot...one that comes highly recommended by not only conservatives but also liberals that Gorsuch has worked with in the past but Chuck Shumer won't seat him purely because of partisan politics!

Have you listened to the confirmation hearings? Democrats have struggled to come up with anything negative on the man. He's a great pick and they KNOW it!

Trump's choice of SC nominee was 100% politically motivated. He had and would have kept 0% support from main stream republicans, until he released his list of potential choices. That is the kind of political football that Biden was trying to prevent the SC nominee from becoming, That's why he only said to wait until after the election instead of wait until after the next president was inaugurated.

If Trump's choice of a SC nominee is 100% politically motivated...then what would Barack Obama's two choices be? Who's more moderate, Gorsuch, Kagan or Sotomayor? The fact is...you on the left are always wailing about how EXTREME the GOP is...yet it's the Democrats that always nominate far left Justices and the GOP that nominates moderates! You're all such incredible hypocrites that it's becoming farce at this point!
