I would like to evangelize more

problem is: I am finding some very nefarious stuff in the Catholic Church and definitely do not want to propagate said nefarious stuff by promoting the Catholic religion.

On the other hand, the Catholic faith has done so much for me, especially t he teachings RE the Real Presence... well, not so much the teachingss thereof but spending time there...

Then there are the non-Catholics. My chief criticism of them is that they generally hate all things Catholic, often including Catholics themselves..

So I feel I am in a non-man's land

Anyone else relate to this?

Let it be.

Lol, what religion hates Catholics? I am Methodist most my friends are Catholics. Never heard any one at church say bad things about Catholics. You are over thinking it all. Create a private relationship with God and find a community in a church. You will be ok.

What nefarious stuff are you speaking off?

I understand the OP's love-hate relationship with the Catholic Church, I am a Catholic too.

I switched to protestant till I realized they all have there good points / bad points I now want to be a jewish/Christian monk, I would love to have a vow of silence for the next 20 years

I tried the Episcopalian Church but that church doesn't stand for anything. They imitate Catholic sacraments, but there is no faith in them. It's an empty shell.

Perhaps you could clarify what you are finding very nefarious?

The next thing that occurs to me is to ask whether you are aware that some of our greatest Saints did not agree with each other on all things Catholic? The Catholic faith has some issues that one must agree to be Catholic. There are others where the many perspectives are not that much of an issue.

Catholicism is true, that's why you can't get away from it if you're Catholic.

Yea, I'm in a sort of no-man's-land, too.

About five years ago, I started reading the Bible in its historical and cultural contexts, which neither Catholics nor Protestants do. I also started realizing that it was all about Israel, both Old and New Testaments.

Then I began to understand details and obscure passages that Christians gloss over or ignore. Christians typically say that only God knows all the answers, but no, the Bible is not a mystery. If it's God's revealed word, then it cannot be a mystery.

Understand the time statements and who the audience is, and the details fall into place.

I still attend a Baptist church occasionally, neither Protestant nor Catholic, but a mainline church nonetheless, where I go only because I have friends there. My real place is with a small group of people I meet with who've come to the same realizations I have.

My wife has been Catholic most of her life, i would go to church with her, when she wanted to go, but once the Socialist/Devil got in power, and demanded that the United States open its borders to illegals and give them money, that was when i said enough is enough. If the Vatican wont open their doors and give those the money inside, that creep can kiss my ...

Fist of all, you cannot force religion to suit your beliefs. You must change from within and change your beliefs to conform to God. Just keep that in mind.

You say, "I am finding some very nefarious stuff in the Catholic Church." Like what?

There is nothing nefarious about the teachings of the Catholic Church. As it comes from Jesus, it is 100% perfect in every way. As for the bad actions of relatively few fallible people? That should have no bearing on your embracing of the faith. Why should it? In what way would it invalidate Jesus' teaching? Stay with the RCC. Embrace it. Evangelize it. You have the perfect product.

I explained my beliefs to my protestant neighbor and he said that's what I believe. I am not a Christian, other than believing the philosophy that the man taught.
