So Salaried People working more than 40 and not getting paid is in Violation of Current Law?...

Yes, the law is pretty specific in who is eligible for OT. Workers such as craft are "non-exempt" workers. Those who are in management, usually above first line, are "exempt." Which pretty much means their OT is paid straight time or through bonuses or not at all. The problem is there are lots of folks that are neither, who are support staff which sometimes are required to work without receiving OT pay.
