Senate Negotiators Unveil Bipartisan Legislation To Fix The Border

And it is as we have been saying. The most forceful immigration bill in decades.

Will Republicans sign on to this? They claim they want the border “fixed”. Well here is that fix.

Actually it would be good for Donald Trump from a purely partisan politics standpoint. Passed the bill now, and watch when 5000 illegal sate come over, just as before, and Biden does nothing to “shut down the border“ as he promised.

This will cause a backlash not only against Democrats, but against those RINOs in the Senate.

sadly though, the Republicans in the house would have to vote for it, and they would feel the wrath of voters also.

Maybe all the Democrats in the house could vote for it along with disappointing Dan Crenshaw, and the other of the Bush/McCain/ Cheney nostalgia conference.

Normal processing happens if the encounters are lower - That doesnt mean its an open border it just means that they are processed like normal and normal is the newly expedited process in the bill. The phrase “the border never closes” is a much-replayed quote from the top Democratic negotiator, Sen. Chris Murphy (D-CT).

In a series of Sunday evening tweets, Murphy gloated that Democrats’ promised curb on illegal migration — including a much-touted border “shutdown” process — are trumped by many pro-migration rules:

A quicker, fairer asylum process. No more 10 yr wait. Claims processed in a non-detained, non-adversarial way in 6 months. A slightly higher asylum screening standard at the border. Also, no more waiting for work permits. Most asylum seekers can work immediately.

Biden subverted the law with his phony "parole" system. The purpose of that system is to allow dumping of illegals into the the country when they have no right to be here and there is little expectation they will appear at their court hearing. The phony senate bill solves nothing.

Joe Biden opened the border to unchecked illegal immigrants from all over the world on his first day in office, while the US and remainder of the world were still in COVID "lock-down" mode.

It was reported that the flow of illegals began moving in the direction of the US as soon as Biden's win in 2020 was confirmed -- before he took office.

He immediately dismantled all the regulatory measures Trump had put in place that cut illegal immigration to low and manageable levels.

The situation has remained that way for 3 years with ZERO effort made by the Democrats or Biden Admin to do anything to address the problem.

This bill is intended to give Joe Biden cover and to maybe ease the problem as an electoral issue.

As statutory authority, it would also hand-cuff Trump on border enforcement should he regain the WH.

This is an election ploy and nothing more.

As an institution, the Senate is NeverTrump.
