The optics are searing. This is one of the messages that should be hammered home for the next four months, Trump in fact is not a great business man, he is a scheister who ruins small businesses because he can. He is an 8 year old Gordon Gecko.

All Trump needs to do is go to Benghazi as backdrop.......armed and supported.

That would only play to the derp base. Every other person knows diplomats in foreign countries have always faced mortal danger, will always do so in the future, and expecting a Secretary of State, not even a president, to be responsible for any and all deaths abroad is ludicrous. Unless you have the magic formula that will keep all Americans safe everywhere on Earth forever.

But you don't. Nobody does. It is a dangerous world. I think every embassy should have a 50 man marine attachment housed in the same building but that's me.

Security minded approach would at least risk score each outpost and secure accordingly. Does Dublin need the same level of Security resources as Benghazi or Baghdad? I sincerely appreciate your vision of an even 50 at all embassies but the Secretary at the time should have been thinking otherwise.

And yes security in say London would be a guy with a baton and a flashlight, and in Bagdad probably 100 marines with a couple tanks parked under tarps would not be so bad. But even then there is no guarantee anywhere that no diplomat will be killed. There never will be. There were hundreds of diplomats killed abroad when Bush was president. Where were all the investigations? Nowhere, not even by the Democrats in Congress.

I mean just admit the Republicans have used this non-issue as a political weapon and used taxpayer money to harm their political opponents. This is really what I detest is the pretending that the whole 'investigation' is legitimate. You know it isn't, otherwise every time it happened under Bush there would have been a 10 million dollar investigation. There have been none.

It is A major issue that Armed Forces an hour away in Italy did not go to help Americans in distress on 9-11-2012. If that is too much of a non issue for you perhaps you can explain why the SOS told Egypt it was a terrorist attack and then the American People it was all because of a video.
