I was talking to an Irish American dude at a bar today who said such.
Irish built the Erie Canal, the Empire state building, and built many railways.
Yet, all this tends to get neglected, in favor of talking about how Chinese built railways, and Black slaves built America, blah blah.
Also note that anti-Irish Catholic situations like the Philadelphia Nativist Riots, and Bloody Monday tend to be left out.
