Irony: Republicans Cut Food Stamps On Their Own Constituents

The U.K. just did the same thing not to long ago.
Guess what happened?
Their unemployment number went down.
When they didn't get the government goodies they went out and got jobs.

Now we know what happened in the Land of Milk and Cookies.
But in this world, an entirely different story:
-------------------------------------------------------------

Unemployment: Long-term jobless total hits 17-year high as thousands face 'life without hope'

Thousands of Britons face a “life without hope” after figures showed the number of long-term unemployed had hit a 17-year high.

Around 915,000 people have been looking for work for at least 12 months - the highest figure since 1996.

Of those, just over half - 474,000 - have spent a soul-destroying two years or more searching for a job.

----------------------

Geeze louise they are trying desperately to climb out of socialism and you are applauding it?

This is what this country needs more of.

Why does the article link to everything EXCEPT the names and locations of the counties?

:eusa_shhh:
we are just suppose to take their word for it...

When they refuse to show you the raw data, there's a reason.

These liberals are conniving bastards.

Show me the raw data or this article is bullcrap.
How dare you ask a liberal for facts. Don't you know we're supposed to buy into the liberal narrative?

Sure, why not, if you are stupid enough to believe Hannity and Limbaugh?

Those two have exactly ZERO to do with this.
The facts are what they are.
Your rhetorical response is telling in that you have nothing to add.
Facts are a bitch when they don't go your way, huh?

Your hissy fit doesn't help things, either.

Who wants to bet that 80% of this within states like Ga, Al, and Miss are black?
Gee, nothing raxist about that!

I'll take that bet. According to US Census data, food assistance users 49% were white; 26% were black or African American; and 20% were Hispanic.

Here is some more interesting SNAP data:
47% of beneficiaries were children under age 18.
8% were age 60 or older.
41% lived in a household with earnings from a job — the so-called "working poor."
The average household received a monthly benefit of $287.

Yep..Facts are your personal kick in the groin.
Here's some Advil for the pain.

Gee. Would that have anything to do that Non-Hispanic Caucasians make up over 70% of the US population?.
Nice try.

In Illinois, Democrat congressional districts average 10% of the population on food stamps, Republican ones average 6% of the population on food stamps.

You can do this on every district around the country.

The liberal media always has to distort the facts, because they always make the Democrats look like sh--.

Obama won people making under 30K by 28%, and lost people making over 50K by 7% and 100K by 10%......so we know who poor people on handouts are. And when you go and look up the actual data, it always proves the DemoRats are the leeches.

Lying Bloomberg dirtbag scum.

Are you attempting to change the subject or do you have a reading comprehension problem - the article didn't say more food stamp recipients voted for Romney, the article said; "Among the 254 counties where food stamp recipients doubled between 2007 and 2011, Republican Mitt Romney won 213 of them in last year’s presidential election, according to U.S. Department of Agriculture data compiled by Bloomberg."

so? saying a percentage of blacks are on food stamps is now racist huh?

but it's ok to say white's are on them?

give us a break with your RACISM...You people have worn it out
