I think it’s the greatest music album of all time

Wide variety of enchanting Melodies and harmonies is unbeatable
The lyrics are everlasting
The meaning is profound
And yes the SAX

It's a great album but not the best of all time. I don't think it's possible to determine a "greatest album of all time." One day I may think that a Steely Dan album is the best then the next day, change my mind and pick and Eagles album. It's subjective and changes with ones mood.

I knew you was a gay homosexual faggot!

You're not very perceptive.

I'm a happily married heterosexual woman.

I've never cared for progressive rock.

Most borrowed not returned or stolen album I've ever had.

Great album I'm sure but never one of my favorites. I put it in 2nd tier with Bookends, the Hair soundtrack, and others more to my liking. Too many Beatles and Stones albums I will forever love way more.

My ears and my brain

It’s genius

Now, in my opinion this list is a little Beatles heavy, I wouldn't put Alanis Morisette's Jagged Little Pill at #69, I'd rank it much lower (just based on the fact that there is nothing ironic mentioned in the song the Ironic) and the Kanye West I would rank lower. The top two are hard to argue with, #1 is Marvin Gaye What's Going On and #2 is The Beach Boys Pet Sounds.

Dark Side of the Moon is #55, for the record.

All in all it's a pretty good, and comprehensive, list. Even for Rolling Stone magazine...

Pet Sounds is the greatest album in my opinion.

Pet Sounds is the greatest album in my opinion.

I bought the Pet Sounds Sessions box set. The vocals only disc is perhaps my favorite of the collection. Those boys could really sing and harmonize. The technical aspects of the recordings were studied and used by many who came after. And the music... some of the best.

Pink Floyd had their own sound which is what I liked about that time in music. Dark Side of the Moon broke new ground as was all their music so I would put it on the list of greats.
