Technically the Gaza Strip and West Bank are legitimate Israeli territory.

They ceeded the lands to both parties with the hope of peace and cooperation. The West Bank is mostly succeeding , the Gaza Strip is failing miserably because of Hamas. Hamas is destroying any hope of a peaceful and productive trading partner with Israel. If it weren't for all the aid from Israel they would have starved to death years ago.
