I'm not a fan of Gingrich, but aside from the fact that Pelosi is simply a stupid shrill bitch, Gingrich was very good at his role and that cannot be denied. He was the de facto leader of the Republican party and reenergized the party into a renaissance. He was an extremely formidable opponent for President Clinton (who was himself an extremely formidable opponent) and stood his ground at every turn. The impeachment of Clinton was probably his biggest mistake, but even still he survived it better than most would have. Most importantly, Gingrich and Clinton, despite being political adversaries, never stopped working together for the good of the American people. That cannot be said of Pelosi.

Gingrich was chased out of office in disgrace

and Pelosi was laughed out of office.

Clinton committed perjury, he deserved to be impeached and removed from office, fucking commiecrats put party above their oaths of office to keep him.

I know you're a card carrying member of the board's progressive wing, Winger but surely even you must feel a little embarrassed trying to portray Nancy Pelosi as a great Speaker of the House? Some of the speeches she's made on critical issues make you literally cringe they're so bad.

The economic stimulus was awful legislation. Pelosi promised "shovel ready" jobs that never appeared. If you look at how much each job created cost the American taxpayer it's hard to view Pelosi's stimulus as anything but a colossal failure.

ObamaCare is even worse legislation. Her and Harry Reid rammed through what they could after seeing their majorities evaporate in the 2010 mid-terms. She got something passed but it's awful legislation and they knew it as they were passing it which is why they had to lie to the American people while doing so.

What financial reform? Are you really that naive?
