Israel is not obligated to provide Gaza with the requirements for survival. Gaza's own government is legally and morally responsible for providing for its citizens. You can't be constantly screaming to "end the occupation" while at the same time saying, "you have a responsibility to provide for the people of Gaza". Those two things are mutually exclusive. Which do you want?

And you repeatedly shoot out their water cisterns. You shoot at their farmers. You shoot at their fisherman.

Israel doesn't shoot at farmers who are farming, or fishermen who are fishing. They shoot at militants smuggling weapons or attacking Israel.

And you won't let anyone leave the area without Israeli permission.

If a Gazan teenager wanted to go study in the United States, why does she need permission from Israel to go?

She doesn't. She only needs Israel's permission to travel through Israel. Same as every other country in the world with protected borders.
