Biden has failed to get the sweeping 100% acceptance of the vaccines that he expected. Worse, they never saw Omicron coming. On top of that the lawyers have looked at the issue and decided that unlike Australia, it would be politically disastrous here for him to try to force 100% compliance by decree. Never mind the issue of what would happen if everyone got the shot but Covid kept on anyway. So what have they got left:

1. Continue with the totally unprovable rhetoric that if only everyone got the shot, we would all be Covid-free.
2. Continue with the bullshit that everyone unvaccinated or wanting to stay that way is somehow a republican Trump supporter when the data doesn't show that at all.
3. By pushing it down to the State level, each state can more freely distribute policy out to business and the private sector, so instead of just dealing with ONE issue, it now becomes a hopeless tangle in every state, city and township.
4. The Democrats still see a political advantage in this, by making it all out as the result of those dangerous republicans and Trump people!
5. Covid is a about fear, and when you control fear, you can get away with murder during an election!
