Two weeks ago, the Washington Times found that "more than a dozen" Republican lawmakers, all of whom insisted that the stimulus package was an awful idea that couldn't possibly help the economy, privately urged the Department of Agriculture to send stimulus money to their states and districts, touting the investments' economic benefits. Last week, the Wall Street Journal moved the ball forward, pointing to "more than a dozen" GOP lawmakers who privately sought stimulus money from the Department of Labor, the Environmental Protection Agency, and the Forest Service.

You will continue that line for enternity, won't you, while we will continue to maintain that helping the country required holding the line against Obama's agenda. Our position has been vindicated by the long overdue exposure of how dishonest Obama is and how willing he was to compromise principle and betray our democratic traditions in order to advance his agenda. We fought a valiant and difficult fight against forces which were willing to let him get away with anything without accountability because of their fantasies about what Obama represented. It was hard to stand strong against the forces of the romantic media and the more foul and dishonest players. But we did. And now the majority of the nation is beginning to understand why we felt so strongly about the position we took.

The stimulus was a resounding success in it's real purpose, which was to make the Wall Street rich, richer, but it failed the American economy and it's taxpayers, cause all or most of that money is now offshore.
