Quit leaving this out-
Nunes said he relied on the review of committee member Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-S.C.).
âNo, I didnât,â Nunes told Fox Newsâs Bret Baier, when asked if he saw the applications.
The memo, released earlier in the day by the House Intelligence Committee, alleges that politically motivated material was used to petition the government for a warrant to surveil an American citizen.
Nunes, the chairman of the committee, brushed off news reports that accused him of not seeing the underlying documents as âbogus.â
He explained that the committee set up an agreement with the Justice Department that would allow just one person to review the documents.
Nunes said he thought Gowdy would be the best choice because of his background as a federal prosecutor, and that Gowdy then shared his notes and observations with the rest of the members.
Nunes: I did not read material summarized in the memo
Are you seriously suggesting that Devin Nunes just 'made up' the summation memo without reading the supporting documents? So the Chairman of the House Intelligence Committee is going to put his career on the line and just make shit up? That's what you are going with?Compelling 6 page rebuttal from Jerry Nadler who unlike Little Devin, actually READ the underlying documents. The official response to come next week.
WASHINGTON â A top House Democrat is challenging the core conclusion of the memo released by House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes on Friday, calling the allegation that the Justice Department and FBI withheld key details as they sought a secret surveillance warrant on former Trump adviser Carter Page âdeliberately misleading and deeply wrong on the law.â
NBC News has exclusively obtained a six-page rebuttal to the Nunes memo from Rep. Jerry Nadler, D-N.Y., the top Democrat on the House Judiciary Committee, which was to be circulated to all House Democrats on Saturday.
Given his senior position, Nadler is one of the small number of lawmakers who has viewed the highly-sensitive documents that are the basis of Nunesâ memo.
Democratic rebuttal calls Nunes memo 'deliberately misleading'
Nunes SAID he didn't read the underlying intel. He didn't have to, the White House helped write his silly little memo. The chair of the house intel committee humiliated himself previously with his midnight run to the White House.
why are you surprised. he's made himself look like a lying moron for trump for months. or did you forget he was part of the transition and that's why he was supposed to stay the hell away from the Russia investigation.
normal people don't put their name on something they didn't read.
and I don't believe gowdy wrote it. when asked if the White House wrote it, nunes looked like a deer in the headlight. and given how stupid it was, it sounds exactly like something Donald's White House did. Besides nunes is as much of a compulsive liar as his boss, Donald.
