Just remember this about Gov. Romney's tax records:

I hope you're right. But history shows 100% of the time that when someone looks to decide what is important to voters, they get their ass handed to them. I recall some of my democratic friends saying the same thing about Lewinsky....how the President didn't need to do anything but just keep denying.

Eventually, Romney will release more of his tax records. I was simply trying to caution everyone that it isn't going to change any of the substance of the elections unless there is a very big skeleton in the closet. If there is one, I'll be as shocked as anyone.

Absolutely agree. Of course, it will never be enough or the whining retards here, but he will release more, and he gets to do so when he wishes. There is no requirement nor should there be. If the IRS has an issue, there would be a court record. This is nothing more than a "Look, he's an evil 1% guy!" ploy. Pathetic. Shows how little they have to talk about.

Yeah, thats sort of my point. If he was a billionaire instead of a millionaire....it wouldn't matter to me. The issue gets manufactured because he won't release them and becomes his deciding "you don't need to know this" while at the same time asking for the votes of the undecideds. Not going over very well.

If you really believe that it's not so much the contents of hidden records that matter as much as it is the failure to release them, then I'm certain you'll want to encourage Barack Obama to release those financial aid records that got him into Columbia. Will we see a "Release the Transcripts" thread from you soon?

I am running as a write in candidate for President and will be releasing no tax records at all. Why won't I release them you might ask because legally I don't have to and they are no one else's dam business.

The President should be as transparent as well. Granted. There is a difference between what happened 30 years ago and what happened in the last decade, is there not?

What is it with libs and their manufactured scandals?

The dog on the roof...
The hair cutting prank...
The police officer uniform...
Bainthers whining about Bain...

After all that, Romney continues to poll even or better than 0bama in recent polls...

Barry just spent millions upon millions of swing state ad buys for a net gain of ZERO...

Cain't wait for the next fauxtrage, lefties....

What else are they going to talk about ?

He speaks to my point.

Whatever is in the tax records is not as damaging as his refusal to release them. And the longer he waits; the more of a story it becomes.

Romney has obviously made the political calculation that that isn't true!

Anyone who has played this gambit has been wrong 100% of the time. Again, it isn't the tax records, it's the self-determination of "you don't need to know that."

The shame is that if the Governor is the man I think he is; he has nothing to be ashamed of in this matter.

obama invokes executive privilege on a topic he said he knew absolutely nothing about and you defend him....

here you know zero about what is or isn't in tax returns that are legally protected as a matter of course, but its all about a conspiracy....you people need some fucking therapy....seriously.

Romney does not seem to want to play this game. He knows that the only reason your side wants more paper is to have more to twist, lie and distort. Bless the man for being smarter than John McCain, because McCain would have given it to them.

yup, yet mcCain only gave them 2 years and they didn't make a hash over it.....thats becasue there was no incumbent who needed a stupid smoke screens to hide his abysmal record.

It's Romney's 1999 thru 2002 tax returns that Democrats are most interested in.

We need to remember this about the tax records. It will not change, in all likelihood who Governor Romney is unless he has some very deep and very dark secrets. If it is revealed that he was funding Al Queda, I guarantee you that the most surprised people on earth will be Obama, Axelrod, Chris and myself.

At worst this only presents a political problem for the governor. He's running for office so politics matter and the longer he waits, the worse it's going to be for him. However, his refusal to release them is not going to change one substantive thing you know about Romney unless there is a very dark side that hasn't been revealed yet.

What I remember is this is Nacho\\Nacho business.

They're just having a difficult time realizing that the general public does not care when Romney left Bain. The issue died when Obama decided to go off prompter and speak from the heart. John Q Public seems to realize that having a POTUS that thinks success is dependent upon and owed back to government is a much bigger issue.
