Senate Democrats Investigate a New Allegation of Sexual Misconduct, from the Supreme Court Nominee Brett Kavanaugh’s College Years

As Senate Republicans press for a swift vote to confirm Brett Kavanaugh, President Trump’s nominee to the Supreme Court, Senate Democrats are investigating a new allegation of sexual misconduct against Kavanaugh. The claim dates to the 1983-84 academic school year, when Kavanaugh was a freshman at Yale University. They may bicker over the details, but I am "guessing" Dr. Ford will testify. I am not even going to try and guess how far the Republicans on the Committee will bend over to satisfy her demands, but that really doesn't matter as long as she does.

There's no need to bicker any longer about accommodations, since the next Supreme Court goes into session the following Monday (October 1). If they do, they are just flexing their muscles screwing with the Republicans. They pushed the day of testimony to Thursday, instead of the Wednesday the Judiciary Committee offered, which will make it difficult to seat Kavanaugh by the time the Supreme Court starts again.

It's not important. What's important is to keep it rolling November.

If they attempt to delay any longer, it will be through what they may or may not include in the testimony, the more witnesses listed (whether or not they are going to say anything that supports her allegations) the longer that can take to weed through. Throw in a few procedural bumps along the way, and maybe they can extend the whole thing into November.
