She should have gotten zero time. It was a sad, tragic accident.

Daunte Wright shares most of the culpability for what happened to him. He was wanted on a weapons charge and put up a fight when the police were arresting him.

You make the Officer's case by conceding that she did reach for her gun instead of her taser. I doubt if you could justify that it's done in "abundance" because I have never seen that defense in a shooting case. Clearly it was not a racist based incident but a problem of emotion and lack of training in a crisis situation.

Dude she had a flawless 26 year record on the force. She didn't even have any complaints filed against her in 26 years.

No what is disgraceful was she was charged at all! Duante Wright was a scumbag and punk… he had a warrant for armed robbery. He was stopped for driving on expired license, but it was soon discovered he had an warrant. When they tried to detain him, just like a punk he resisted arrest and try to flee in his car. In a split sec Potter pulled her weapon abs instead of tazing him, which would have been inaffective anyways, she shot him. Deadly force was warranted.
But no no, whenever a black criminal is shot, the cops get prosecuted.
