Gun sales during Obama's term were off the charts. Whites were running for cover scared shitless.
Gun manufacturers are shutting down now due to lack of sales.

Too many of the Right will be laughing and staying home, cleaning their guns and barbecuing instead of voting.

Why should they vote? In the minds of the Right, the election has already been won.

Bevin's loss is a win for people in Kentucky, but it's not really important elsewhere. Kentucky will still be a red state in 2020. The election just illustrated how unpopular Trump and Trumpism is. Trump shows up, Bevin dropped from "+5" to "loser". The downballot Republicans didn't have trouble winning, because they didn't tie themselves to Trump.

The loss of both Virginia houses was worse news for the GOP. With Republican corruption and vote suppression schemes now DOA, Virginia is reliably blue.

The worst news for the GOP wasn't the really obvious news. The Philly suburbs swung blue big time. That means the Democrats take PA in 2020.

The Republicans gained over 1000 seats nationwide over a period of about 10 or so years. They gained over 60 seats in the House in 2010 alone. In reality, the Dems are not even close to where they were 10-15 years ago. At one point, they were 1 seat away from 60 in the Senate in 2010.

The GOP has reached peak domination, especially at the state level. The drift back toward a more balanced situation was inevitable.

It shifts back and forth. Not many people realize that the Democrats controlled the House of Representatives for over 50 years consecutively until 1994.

Looking at a single race is fools gold. Massachusetts has a popular Republican Governor. Does anyone think MA is going red because Baker won? I don't think so. Dark blue state.

The 2020 election will be very close. The Democrats are celebrating before the final whistle. If they underestimate Trump, it will be very long night next November.
