Leave It To An Irishman To Have Some Balls: "America Has Elected A Fascist."

So what you're saying is that we should just count up the states that each candidate won, and the one with the most states gets the nod? Really?

Apparently we should also do away with the House in Congress.

Not at all. I think they should divide the EC by proportion like they do in Nebraska and Maine. Currently a Dem voter in Texas vote means nothing. A repub vote in NY and California means nothing.

At the same time, all the dem votes in NY & CA meant nothing....

This is why the EC has got to go.
bring it up then to congress.

Trump supporters, like the ones here, can not even give an academic definition of what fascism is. Seriously, they have been asked to define fascism endless times in endless threads and fail over and over. They respond with elementary cartoons or graphs with swastikas and the word nazi somewhere on the graph. The dumbing down of America has brought us fascism and Trump to implement it.
and yet you have no definition.

Best damn speech I've heard in some time. Take note, American Democrats -- THIS is what you're supposed to be doing. I've never been more proud to be Irish.

How is that any different than you leftist moonbats are doing here?

Locking political opponents in jail is fascist.

Hey dickhead....just because you're a Stalinist we don't become "fascists"...you're out there all by yourselves.

Dear Ireland,

When we want your opinion, we'll give it to ya.

Love,

Da Most Powerful Country in Th World
Exactly why other country's are so concerned.
Fuck 'em, they don't get a say so in our internal politics..... just like we shouldn't be screwing around with their internal politics.

This Irish politician is just upset because the established order that he so heavily depends on for his living and sense of self worth are falling apart around him.... tough shit paddy, go get a real job.
Do bear in mind that the election of an American president does have an impact on other countries so it is reasonable for foreign politicians to have opinions. Secondly, the Irish politician was putting into the record of his own senate what his views are and what he expects from his own government. In no way was he attempting to interfere in domestic American politics.
You don't think calling the U.S. President-Elect a "fascist" is attempting to interfere with our internal politics? How would the Irish take it if some nimrod Congressman in the U.S. publicly called their newly elected leader (that hadn't even taken office yet) a "fascist"?

This politician can have his own opinions but some of those opinions he needs to keep to himself because what he says can have serious negative unintended consequences.
The Irish politician is simply agreeing with what American Republican operatives, pundits, and commentators began saying, along with political scholars from all over the world at the beginning of Trump's Presidential campaign. Trump has brought fascism to America. The Irish politician was just giving a warning and attempting to force his constituency into reality.

Based on what evidence? I highly doubt that the folks calling Trump a "fascist" have the first clue as to what fascism is, the folks on the left simply slap the label of "fascist" (or racist, or sexist, or whatever the flavor of the month "ist") on anybody that doesn't follow the left wing orthodoxy, same way the right uses socialist or communist against anyone that doesn't see the world the way they do.

... and AMERICAN operatives, pundits and commentators have every right to be directly involved in AMERICAN internal politics, foreign politicians that do so are acting completely irresponsibly.

Lawrence Britt wrote and published the 14 characteristics of fascism long before Trump came into the political picture and Weber wrote his histories of fascism long before Trump as well. So, there you have the sources of fascism definitions, Britt and Weber. Both published and accepted in the academic community as scholars and experts in the field of fascism, publishing works long before Trump came into the picture. Now you have Trump fitting the definitions those scholars give before they even knew about Donald Trump. Add the world community recognizing Trump as a fascist. Still, his followers say "nuh-uh, he ain't a fascist".

Countries have foreign policies so it is to be expected that politicians will have something to say about America. After all, Americans have strong opinions about foreign countries and do not care about saying so.

Call someone who isn't a stark raving moonbat a fascist. How original!

Except that he IS a fascist, and is hell bent on modeling the White House after Nazi Germany. See his recent appointments, ostrich boy.
Oh THIS time its true. You guys cry wolf in this every election.

And when there is no facism? Whats the excuse then?

You guys are really really dumb.

Lawrence Britt is marketing executive who has no qualifications to define the term "fascism."

Max Weber, if that's who you're referring to, died in 1920 before the term fascism was invented. He wrote no such books.

You're an idiot.

Most college book stores have booklets that give definition and examples of the various ideologies. The problem with the scholastic definitions is they don't fit poster's definitions.

Ummm.. the definition of fascism was defined by the Mussolini Regime, you know the people that invented and actually put it into practice.

.... and you nor anybody on the left has shown any credible evidence as to how Donald Trump fits the definition of the word.

Trump has PLENTY of character flaws, PLENTY of flaws in his past and said PLENTY of outrageous things on the campaign trail for you lefties to criticize, why you have to make up complete nonsense out of thin air is beyond me, I guess you're not happy unless your spreading misinformation and outright falsehoods.

Like I said, for the left "fascism" is just another way of saying "anybody that disagrees with me".

The problem with so-called "scholastic definitions" is that they are devised by commie professors with an ideological axe to grind.

Try Eugen Weber dunce. I gave you a couple of the easy sources for beginners trying to learn about fascism. If I suspected you would bother to educate yourself or some of the lazy dunces posting on this topic I would have mentioned Robert O. Paxton or Stanly Payne, but I know there is no way you will consume the knowledge of those guys. It all points back and confirms Britt and Weber, and that confirms Trump as a fascist. How many of and which of the 14 characteristics of fascism listed by Lawrence Britt do you claim do not fit Trump?

Hitler locked-up his political opponents after he was democratically elected Chancellor of Germany; Donald Trump boasted that he will lock-up Hillary Clinton when he got elected as President.

Granted the radical left ain't got a freaking clue of the word "fascist" which they usually use when they are busted for dope. The era of fascism ended after WW2 but Ireland remained neutral during the war. In other words it seems that Ireland didn't mind fascism too much in the 30's and 40's. For a dumb assed (unelected?) Irish drunk to pronounce Trump as a fascist is ludicrous for a dozen reasons.

So what is fascism?

Best damn speech I've heard in some time. Take note, American Democrats -- THIS is what you're supposed to be doing. I've never been more proud to be Irish.

Listen , you ignorant dingleberry

BOTH candidates were/are fascists.

Neither candidate pledged to abolish the FASCISTIC gargantuan bankrupt welfare/warfare police state.

But we had to elect one of the candidates - we had to decide which candidate was the LESSER of evils.

Candidate Trump pledged:

1- to protect our right to bear arms,
2- withdraw from the ludditic climate agreement
3- to establish a friendship with Putin thereby preventing WWIII over Syria

And so it goes.

Correction: Only ONE is a fascist. The guy Republican scum voted for.
