There is only one way to get the guns out of the hands of the gangbangers and that is to kill them on sight. But there is a pesty little thing called the Constitution of the United States that gets in the way. Even a gangbanger has some rights. BTW, the Gangbangers have been reduced since it's harder for them to replace their guns when they get confiscated. But they are criminals so they will always find a way. But let's not make it so damned easy for them. In 2016, there were over 600,000 background checks done in Colorado. Out of those, 127 Felons where bagged and sent back to prison for trying to get weapons at gun shops. They failed the Background Checks, the Gun Shop immediately called the cops before they left the shop and the were apprehended leaving the shop. That's 127 violent criminals that were taken off the street. There is no way to tell how many lives that saved but one can surmise that it saved at least one and that made it worth it..
