Fundraising for political campaigns is not about politicians ‘making money’ – funds raised don’t ‘belong’ to the person running for office.

And money in politics is perfectly Constitutional, as the Citizens United Court reaffirmed – a conservative Citizens United Court.

Fundraising for political campaigns is not about politicians ‘making money’ – funds raised don’t ‘belong’ to the person running for office.

And money in politics is perfectly Constitutional, as the Citizens United Court reaffirmed – a conservative Citizens United Court.

In Trump's case it is about him making money from funds raised. Every penny his campaign spent up until recently was loaned to his campaign by Trump, That means that when the money raised for his campaign by the GOP or any other source comes in, he gets paid back, and I'm sure there will be interest as well.He normally lives in his own hotels, but since he started, his campaign he has been paying himself for his lodging, and meals at his own hotels, and all the expense for his personal airplane. The man is already making money from this, and stands to make a lot more before it's over.
