Legal experts: Prosecutor overcharged; will be difficult to win trial.

Another one Bucs? Oh brother...

Just brush the dead body under the rug, no wrongdoing by police here right?
No.....Jesus Christ....
The idea of a prosecution is to present charges that the People can PROVE in a court of law.
Mosley is trying for splash and sexy headlines for the sole purpose of personal gain..
She is taking a huge risk..If she fails to get convictions on the charges she has filed it can destroy her career. But Mosley has decided to swing for the fences.
The first challenge she will face is a motion for a change of venue. One that if it comes, she could lose.....There is no way a police officer is going to get a fair trial in Baltimore County. Anyone with more than two functioning brain cells would know this.

Where are the charges against the thugs who demolished Baltimore and committed murder during riots?

I also think there should be a massive "blue flu" day Sunday for all law enforcement officers assigned to minority neighborhoods,.Let's see how they like that. :afro:

Was anyone actually killed in the Baltimore riots?
No.....But the Mayor gave her blessing for the property destruction....Businesses that may very well have not been insured...Businesses that will never be financially able to reopen.
Even those that were insured, most likely had polices that do not cover for 'riot' 'war' 'insurrection' or other man made affray.....

Thats why I call this the Baltimore Kangaroo Court.

This is about appeasing rage. Thats all. This case would've been worthy of a lawsuit at best. They still havent said exactly how the cops "assaulted" him. All they're pointing to is a seat belt and not calling a medic right away.

Kangaroo Court is now in session.....time to get us some justice and appease this black rage!! Down with whitey!!

I don't know why you have this desire to defend bad cops. These cops fucked up.

I remember you were the one who claimed the guy in NOrth Carolina was justified because they were going for his Taser... Until the tape came out showing him shooting the guy in the back and planting a Taser.

What is needed is a lot of reform in Law enforcement. Mandetory body cameras. Lots of retraining.
So you have them convicted already?.....Ok...Lets forget the trial.....

Moesby has never been an attorney. She never tried a case. She has no idea what needs to be proved. She's listening to the Gray family attorney that was her mentor. He's stringing her along hoping to get his payoff in a civil suit.

will it

will it really destroy her career

the leftists will continue to support her

after all these folks believe that seeing more poverty

is somehow winning the war on poverty

She was just as much an embarrassment as the mayor of that city was. Both should be relieved of their duties. they are more worried over one man, more than they were all the people who lived in that city that was damaged and injured with the riots the mayor allowed them room to do.

but they are in Obama and Sharpton's gang of: NO JUSTICE NO PEACE. I was shocked to see the mayor give a press conference in front of that sign.

Hopefully the naysayers have an opportunity to receive a "rough ride" of their own.

And this should make the people of Baltimore all the more Impressed with her Abilities to be holding this office

Delusional Baltimore State Attorney Denies Personal Connections Are Conflict Of Interest…

Via Truth Revolt:

Minutes before Baltimore State’s Attorney Marilyn Mosby announced a long list of charges against six officers in the death of Freddie Gray, the Fraternal Order of Police called for Mosby to recuse herself from the case, citing a conflict of interest due to personal connections.

The police union’s president, Gene Ryan, released a letter Friday calling for Mosby to appoint a special prosecutor in her stead. Maintaining that “none of the officers involved are responsible for the death of Mr. Gray,” Ryan expresses “deep concerns” about Mosby’s personal “conflicts”:

These conflicts include your personal and professional relations with Gray family attorney, William Murphy, and the lead prosecutor’s connections with members of the local media. Based on several nationally televised interviews, these reporters are likely to be witnesses in any potential litigation regarding this incident.

Among Mosby’s connections to Murphy is his support of her recent campaign, to which he donated $5,000, and his service on her transition committee.

But more importantly, the union argued, the position of Mosby’s husband could be “directly impacted” by the case:

Most importantly, it is clear that your husband’s political future will be directly impacted, for better or worse, by the outcome of your investigation. In order to avoid any appearance of impropriety or a violation of the Professional Rules of Professional Responsibility, I ask that you appoint a Special Prosecutor to determine whether or not any charges should be filed.

We recognize that there are many dimensions to this situation: the public sentiments — on all sides; the investigation being conducted by your office; the internal police investigation; and a necessary review of the tools, equipment, and resources afforded to Baltimore police officers in order to carry out their sworn duty as police officers.

A spokesman for Mosby responded to Ryan’s concerns about Murphy in a statement to the Baltimore Sun, saying that her husband’s position cannot be held against her and she feels there is “no conflict of interest” in her relationship with Murphy:

The purpose of announcing the charges was to calm the rioting animals. It was a smart move for the city.

Now comes the hard part..... actually prosecuting the case.

Break out the popcorn, it will be very interesting.

Knowing something and being able to prove it are two very different things in a criminal trial.

One thing is certain, failing to buckle Gray in was a clear violation of procedure and is grounds for termination. So most if not all of the six will be fired. That's a certainty. But unless it can be proved that any or all of them directly and deliberately contributed to the injuries that killed Gray there will be no murder convictions. And based on all we've been told thus far I am not aware of any such evidence.

The prosecutor is acting in the hope of turning those cops against each other and extracting testimony in exchange for leniency or dismissal. So my guess is the trial will end up with one or two murder or manslaughter convictions, one or two lesser convictions (reckless endangerment, etc.), and dismissals of those who are turned and testify.

We'll see.

I will laugh my ass off if they find the 3 black people guilty, but the white cops are completely exhonerated.
Back in the 1960s, demands from the Bedford/Stuyvestant (Black) community in Brooklyn, NY, prompted Mayor Wagner to withdraw all White cops from those precincts and replace them with Black cops. Within six months brutality complaints against the Black cops resulted in the return of White cops to Bed/Stuy.

As I recall, the complaint by Black residents was not that brutality by Black cops was more frequent -- but rather it was worse, i.e., more seriously brutal. Whereas the White cops might hand out some lumps, bruised dignity and an occasional shooting, the Blacks didn't play around with those who pissed them off. They broke bones, kicked out teeth, and would blackjack a serious resister to death.

This comes to mind upon learning that three of the six cops in the Freddie Gray incident are Black.

if you don't have insurance, you shouldn't have a business in a high-crime neighborhood.

I think the mayor did a shitty job, and they should kick her ass out in the next election if she doesn't have the common decency to resign.

But Longknife stated that the rioters should be held accountable for all the people they (didn't) kill. They didn't kill any. The ones who were caught damaging property are going to be arrested. Particularly the ones dumb enough to do selfies and post them on social media.

So you have them convicted already?.....Ok...Lets forget the trial.....

Not seeing a need for a trial to conclude that when a man had his neck snapped and was left on a cold metal floor for a couple of hours, someone did something wrong.

So the conflict of interest is what? ...that Mosby may be influenced to pursue this prosecution to the fullest extent of the law?

Isn't that what she's supposed to do?

Any indictments will be overturned by a higher court. The police union is 100% on the side of their officers. They have unlimited financial and legal resources.
When this is over there may be a couple of misdemeanor charges upheld. That's it.
The moron Pros. will resign and get a job as a paralegal in some shithole negro law firm in some shithole town being destroyed by local negro politicians. She'll maybe be a guest on MSNBC sometimes.

Lots of wishful thinking there. More than likely, these cops are all thinking how they can get lighter sentences by ratting out the guy who did break Freddy's neck.

Who ever lives in the venue where the trial is held because it won't be in Baltimore.
