Liberals Threaten Blind Opera Singer, Forces him to cancel Performance

Guess y'all never heard of the Dixie Chicks !

Surprised you'd want some foreigner singing at Czar Trumps coronation?

Have you ever heard the guy sing!?!

One of the most beautiful voices to be heard, but maybe you like skanks that screech instead... Oh and I did not support the right when the Dixie Chicks were treated like shit, but let remember the Opera Singer did not voice any opinion that caused some form of backlash either like the lead sing of the Dixie Chicks did...

Singing for that pig's inauguration would have been making a big statement.

No, they called the radio stations and threatened them if they played any of their songs. They did the same for any venues where The Dixie Chicks were scheduled to play.
Thank you...but link?

What kind of a statement?
That the free market works?
That the singer likes to get paid?
What?

Sounds like the free market has spoken.
Choosing passively not to financially support a business for doing something is one thing - actively calling that business or artist up and threatening them is a different matter.

Side Note:
Why does the govt have to step in and force a bakery to go against their religious beliefs and force them to serve a homosexual couple, when there are so many other bakeries willing to serve them? Why not just let the 'free market' deal with them? People who are offended / disagree with them would not patron their business any more...but that isn't good enough. They have to be 'punished' by the government?!

Should AB be 'punished' for refusing to 'serve' someone because of political prejudices?

The government had to step in because the bakery was breaking the law, by not treating it's customers fairly.

The owners were exercising their Constitutional Right to 'Freedom of religion AND THE EXERCISE THEREOF'. If the bakery had been the only one in town, fine...but there were several willing to do it. This case was not solely about bakers refusing service based on religious beliefs - it was about making people who do not accept the homosexual lifestyle PAY. (IMO)

So 'sexual/gender' prejudice is not ok, but 'political' prejudice is?

Conservatives chose not to support / follow them. Conservatives never called them and threatened them if they chose to play any specific concerts. Big difference.

They burned their CDS! Threatend stations who played their music!

You live in a land of delusion if you think righties are some vast group of tolerant peacenicks !

By the way. What does his blindness have to do with anything. ?

Should the government step in and force the Maine propane dealer supply people who voted for Trump? You idiots opened Pandora's Box

Doesn't matter if there were other bakeries in town. All bakeries have to obey the law.

Are the Maine propane dealers breaking any laws?

Doesn't matter if there were other bakeries in town. All bakeries have to obey the law.
And the law supersedes the Constitution....

So AB doesn't have the right to deny singing at the Inauguration because that would be a form or prejudice - political prejudice? Or does only certain prejudices count?

So Trump should sue Bochelli and make him sing. That would be funny. You just don't understand that you can't stomp your foot and get you way. Thump doesn't understand that yet, either.

You failed to answer my question - are the liberals the only ones who get to define what prejudices are protected and what prejudices must not be tolerated? You can't discriminate against a same-sex couple , but when you discriminate against someone based on their political views it's ok?

The 'Tolerant' Left Strikes Again....

You're ok as long as you agree with them, but of you don't they go after you.

Andrea Bocelli Backs Out Of Performing At Donald Trump’s Inauguration After Backlash

"Despite the rumors that no celebrities wanted to perform at his inauguration, the president-elect reportedly personally approached the blind Italian singer, who originally accepted. Now he has changed his mind.

“Bocelli said there was no way he’d take the gig,” a source told Page Six. “He was ‘getting too much heat’ and he said no.”

Bocelli is not a Hillary or Trump supporter - he was going to be doing a paid gig - that's it. He has received so much 'heat' and threats now that he refuses to perform.

Isn't this a little like the florist or the bakers who refused to provide a service to a customer due to bias / prejudice? Libs want businesses to provide their services to homosexuals but want to threaten and bully other business providers into not serving people they choose based on personal / political prejudice.

Hypocrisy 'rides' again....

If you think someone is breaking the law, you have every right to sue them. What part of that confuses you? The courts decided they should bake the damn cake. If Trump wants to sue Bochelli, he is free to do so.
