Musk is talking about getting involved in lithium, whether he partners with someone like LAC or he starts his own operation, who knows. He can afford to do what he wants, but LAC is only about 100 miles from where Musk builds his cars. There are recycling operations out there, I'm invested in those too.

EV's should have to compete in the marketplace without government incentives and 'green' policies such as banning ICE vehicles in the near future which should be shut down completely. The whole EV market is based on the 'climate change' lie in the first place. We have at least 100 years of oil that we know of and there could be more. Our energy policy should be based on the cheapest most efficient source of fuel without draconian regulations and taxation. Right now, because of stupid leftist 'green' policies, the energy market cannot be trusted.

Not entirely true. Many Texas wind turbines did not have a deice feature and the airfoils iced up, reducing efficiency. Gas lines also froze.

Texas relies on wind turbines for one-fourth of its electric power. A brutal winter storm and record cold temperatures had plunged the state into darkness. The problem? Half of the state’s wind turbines were unable to generate electricity because of ice on their blades. Millions of Texans were left without power as the state’s electricity authority ordered rolling blackouts because there wasn’t enough electricity to go around. Anyone who has experienced an old-fashioned nor’easter knows just how unpleasant conditions can be.
