Logical Inconsistencies or Outright Lies by God?

First some clarification, does God lie? If 'yes,' continue reading, if 'no' hit 'Reply' and say what you're gonna say anyway. :)

In Judaism, it's said you don't have to be Jewish to receive God's love or a 'share in the world to come' (i.e. place in heaven.) Follow a simplified list of 7 commandments (Noahide Laws et al.) and you're good. Yet throughout the Jewish Tanach it's said that Jews should exterminte, wipe out, show no mercy, slaughter everyone that doesn't worship God. So where does Judaism get the 'be whatever, just be good' notion from? Did God lie?

6th Commandment says you shall not murder. Murder being an unsanctioned, unlawful, or unjustified slaying of another human being. Yet God regularly called for the slaying of children and women in the numerous wars he seemed to sanction the Jews of the Tanach to undertake. Plus of course, God slew many including the entire planet's population with the Great Flood (for the sake of arguement hehe.) Now, you could argue that God is immune to the laws he gives us, yet in a popular sotry "Mother and Nest" a boy whose mother and now his father have died quotes the law in Torah to God in prayer where if you happen upon a bird's nest seeking eggs for food, you shouldn't take the eggs away in view of the mother because that'd cause her distress, nor should you take the mother bird and father bird since it'd orphan the chick who'd probably also die with no parents to care for them. Faced with this commandment, God restored the boy's father to life showing how God IS in fact bound to the laws in Torah meant for us. So logically, God is also bound to the 6th Commandment and cna't willy-nilly murder those not guilty of some death penalty offense (like the first born in Egypt or innocent children in wars.) Another lie?

So does God regularly lie, or what?

Murder is killing but not all killing is murder or else you couldn't have self defense, police officers, the armed services, etc.
