Fair enough. Barrett sided with AUTOZONE in a case where they wereallegedly putting people of certain races in certain stores. Barrett answered to the specifics of the case and then said, “Racism is abhorrent”.

Stores do that quite a bit in Arizona with Hispanic employees. I fail to see the problem.

Of course you would want to put hispanics in an hispanic neighborhood. No way could I work in Hialeah. You haveto be bilingual. ACLU is full of shit.

Well, aside from the biligual question - because there are a lot of white people in Arizona who speak Spanish, since the proximity to the Mexican border makes it practical - a lot of the customers in predominantly Hispanic neighborhoods just feel more comfortable dealing with another Hispanic person than they do with a white person. Whatever I think about the validity of that point of view, I can't fault the store for accommodating the customers. Besides, if you staff your store with employees who live near that store, there's a greater likelihood that they'll be of the same racial and ethnic background as the neighborhood, because duh.

She spent 5 minutes asking Barrett why she sided with AUTOZONE. Yes the implication was racism. Thats why Barrett said racism is abhorrent. She was defending herself from Feinstein.

Yes, thats why she asked the question. The ACLU said Autozone cant put certain races in certain neighborhoods. Barrett explained why she ruled how she ruled. I thought you watched it.
