Low Gas Prices, Yay! OPEC's worst nightmae.

Gas is pretty cheap right now, and something tells me it's going to drop a bit, even.

Here's why:

"August saw the largest annual increase in U.S. oil production in 98 years, according to government data."

Trump is pumping!

The article is a good read. Oil production in the US is back!

Something I wasn't sure I'd ever see again after Carter stopped all the wells in Texas.

Bloomberg - Are you a robot?

Bloomberg - Are you a robot?
did carter stop the wells in Texas or did they simply dry up?
Fairy tales.............Capped the hell out of oil here..............thanks for playing.
link?
I work in the industry...........We joke about it .............many big dogs joke about it...........We want to use up the world's oil first...........

I'm not going to go digging for something they have for decades hidden............

In regards to the oil reserves...........we stood in gas lines during Carter..........the oil reserves were done to ensure OPEC couldn't black mail us again......

Come on down to the Still Republican run state of Florida where only a pocket full of lunatic lefties live. The rest of the State, that doesn't tax your income and has pretty low gasoline prices welcomes law abiding citizens with open arms. Unless you want reside in those liberal pockets of idiocy....

Err..I live in one of those liberal pockets of idiocy.

I cannot believe people would not vote to increase homestead exemption. I think the election was rigged.

I was there when Jimmy(the peanut brain) Carter has said that the world was going to run out of oil in 35 years. That was why he enacted the odd and even days of gas. Funny that we are sitting on the largest supply of energy, than the rest of the world combined. What a retard he was..I know typical liberal.....

there was an oil embargo i think it was on Iran...due to the hostage crisis... if memory serves and this is why oil sky rocketed....??

Do you all realize that if Venezuela ever overthrows their liberal/Socialist government and goes full bore capitalism, they could re-open their oil wells, and thus bring Oil Prices even lower? That would be amazing as, other prices, like food and consumer staples would start coming down also. Win Win, for the world....

Except those damn miserable liberal wretches, even when they keep more of their money, they can never be happy...Liberalism is all about misery and poverty, that is called FAIRNESS....

We were in lines for hours to get gas and you couldn't even fill the tank up.............and the gas stations ran out of gas while waiting......LOL

Was kinda like hurricane gas lines without the hurricane...............LOL

They stole the rigs.............the workers hauled ass.........replaced them with incompetence and their production died.........along with their country.........

They printed money until it wasn't worth the paper it was written on..............

Gas prices will get lower as pipelines and refineries come online.

Kinda off-topic, but steel is coming back, too. :113:
Maybe the Pissburg Kneelers could start to respect the country that allows all of them to make millions of dollars too....

Pittsburgh won't be as dominant in the steel industry as it once was. Plants are opening in other states.

It was run on, the scam that if more exemptions were increased then teacher pay and schools would lose out money. That and the prop 3 where voters now have the right to say NO to gambling casinos, again that was supposed to fund schools but never does....

I remember sitting in the gas lines with my Dad during two different "Energy Crises". People had to go days commensurate with their license plate numbers, odd or even. It was terrible, and made most of us think what happened to America. One was during Carter, and one during Nixon.

Compared to 29 cents before Carter, then went to 50 cents after he lied, that almost doubled the price for those cars that got up to 10 miles to the gallon. Only the VW bug could pass those long lines and ride for ever.

Based on data from 16 vehicles, 321 fuel-ups and 75,028 miles of driving, the 1973 Volkswagen Beetle gets a combined Avg MPG of 17.48 with a 0.88 MPG margin of error.
