Majority of Americans favor wealth tax on very rich: Reuters/Ipsos poll

Some problems have no solution.

Like you, you are an idiot and always will be, that is just the way god made you. Not really your fault.
I came up with a solution to what you claim is the problem. It’s foolproof. You are just butthurt you are too stupid to think of it.

I win again.:5_1_12024:

Your solution is not possible, thus it is not a solution.

You think it is a solution because you are an idiot, but again as I said that is not really your fault.[/QUOTE]
Your solution isn't possible either.

You just agreed that two systems are a problem. Now explain why democracy isn't also a problem.

This is why, as you know, we have a Constitutional Republic.

Our Bill of Rights in the Constitution was a good attempt at protecting individual Liberties at the time it was written but as we see almost daily it isn't strong enough to protect us from the oppression of government.

The Founding Fathers never saw the socialist greed using the system of representative democracy to steal money.

Democracy is a terrible form of government that can be just as oppressive as any other tyrannical form of government.

A system that can't deal with imperfect human beings is a flawed system. The problem with democracy is that it gives these imperfect humans control over our lives. How do you claim it's not the system when the system is totally useless for the task assigned to it?

It is not the system's fault that humans abuse their power. If I give you a screwdriver and you try to use it like a hammer, is it your fault or the screwdrivers?

The system has done what it is designed to do, it has lasted for 243 years and accomplished amazing things along the way.

The problem with every system from despotism to anarchy is that imperfect humans have control over our lives. But again, to blame the systems for human's failings is some pretty weak ass shit.

Killing the human race isn't possible?

Isn't that the entire argument the MMGW Cult puts forward? Give us your money or mankind is doomed?

Your solution isn't possible either.

I have not offered a solution.
Sure you have. Your proposal is to create perfect human beings.

Where the fuck did I propose that? Please give me the post number.
You keep saying that the problem with democracy is the fact that people are flawed. How do you propose to fix democracy if you claim the people in it are at fault and "not the system?"

Why does everyone assume there is a fix?

Cannot you not just accept that there is no perfect system?

There are lots of other countries out there with other systems, if you find one of them better, feel free to move.

If it can't be fixed, then why are you whining about deficits? They are a symptom of the problem with democracy. If you can't fix democracy, then you can't eliminate deficit spending.

WASHINGTON/NEW YORK (Reuters) - The idea of imposing a wealth tax on the richest Americans has elicited sharply divergent views across a spectrum of politicians, with President Donald Trump branding it socialist and progressive Democratic presidential contenders Senators Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders prominently endorsing it.

Among the 4,441 respondents to the poll, 64% strongly or somewhat agreed that “the very rich should contribute an extra share of their total wealth each year to support public programs” - the essence of a wealth tax. Results were similar across gender, race and household income. While support among Democrats was stronger, at 77%, a majority of Republicans, 53%, also agreed with the idea.

If this is true, then the experiment called the United States of America as we know it is done....
POLL: Hillary by a landslide.

My son is a Type 1 diabetic, something that cannot be fixed. If he and I were to view it like you then we would be like...why worry about it and try and deal with it since it cannot be fixed. He could just not worry about it and let his blood sugar get higher and higher till it killed him or he can try and keep it under control.

Same concept with our government. We cannot fix it, but that does not mean we have to let it kill us. We do not have to put 1/4 of our spending on the credit card. Though maybe we do since most people are like you and really just do not give a shit about it for a number of reasons.

Until about the 1930, there was no way to treat diabetes. Those who had it just got sicker and sicker until they died. There is nothing comparable to insulin to treat the ills of democracy. We can't fix the human race. They will continue to vote scumbags into power.

Your analogy implies there is someway to treat the symptoms. OK, what is it? How do you make politicians vote to cut spending? How do you make people quit voting for the ones who won't?

There is a way to treat these symptoms, knowledge and information. They are the insulin.

Taxation is supposed to be equal. IOW, unless someone is gaining more of something by being taxed, then they should not have to pay more percentage of their income in taxes. Rich people get nothing more than a poor person does if they pay more percentage of their income to taxes. They get the same roads and all the same benefits as anyone else. It is discriminatory to expect them to pay for our politicians' escapades.
Why do trucks pay more road tax than bicycles?
The answer to that is too embarrassing to the argument about fairly participating in society, eh?

You make dopey comparisons. Besides that, we do not have any "road tax."

Are you a citizen of the United States? Road taxes?
