Mass killings

So are cars and seatbelts. So are phamecutical opioids.
The AR platforms and the like are proving to be a serious problem.
They are proving to be no more of a problem than any other inanimate object. Less of one, in fact.

.

It's not so much the object as the human culture surrounding them and the behaviors they inspire and actions they make possible.

You should be screaming for action to prevent these incidents and protect your ownership. You aren't.
How do you know?

My screaming is drowned out by all the calls to for gun control first without considering any possible reflection on the human element, and certainly a serious DISREGARD for the rights/liberty of others.

The knee-jerk nonsense must end.

.
How do you know

Because I'm able to read your posts.
My posts are preoccupied with responding to the knee-jerk reaction we get every goddamn time this happens.

We're not getting rid of the AR system, period.

If you want to talk about other solutions, I am all game. So far, my attention is on the people trying to butt-fucking my liberty at the drop of a hat.

.
f you want to talk about other solutions, I am all game. So far, my attention is on the people trying to butt-fucking my liberty at the drop of a hat.

These shooters are "butt-fucking" your "liberty". Just like mobsters and bank robbers did with fully automatic weapons a century ago.

With that being said. What do you believe would be helpful?

Making it illegal to report shootings would help. By anyone.
Making it illegal to report shootings would help. By anyone.

Huh?

If it's not reported in the news or on social media your emotions can't be triggered.
If it's not reported in the news or on social media your emotions can't be triggered
LOL...
So sweeping it under the rug is "helpful".

No, relying on government to fix this problem is where liberty gets butt fucked.

Right now we live in a nightmarish society..........

That stupid statement right there renders the rest of your post moot.

You live in the greatest society ever. A mere 3900 hundred years ago there was no electricity. IO want people to sit and ponder for a moment a world with no electricity. No lights at night, living in darkness, no coolers, no grocery stores with refrigerators, no electronic device at all, no communications, no modern medical devices, Just gibe it some thought.

And that just the technical side. Then there is the social side. Living under Kings, no rights, no travel.........

The OP says, "Right now we live in a nightmarish society". What a pathetic punkass bitch. Just shut the fuck up and get a job you loser.

So the armed civilians do everything they can to make it easy for mass killers to get guns, then walk away when there is a killing. Classy.

And you're another fucking idiot.

The question at hand is: Why does a person want to kill another person. THAT is the problem. The tool of choice is neither here nor there. Moron.
You live in the greatest society ever.

Nope.
"Great societies" don't allow problems like this to fester for decades.

Great societies don't punish everyone because of the actions of a very few.
Great societies don't oppress the liberty and freedom of everyone because of their illogical emotions.

Great societies also don't allow their mentally ill go without treatment because they consider it "Socialism".
Is there any evidence available to show that this guy was denied mental health treatment because he lacked health insurance?

.

It isn't just health insurance.

Right now we live in a nightmarish society. But it’s OUR society; surely we can vote—or if necessary, violently shove—our way out of this ugly, intolerable situation! Only the most irresponsible, cowardly GENERATION would just let it continue. Those kids and other human brethren getting massacred are YOURS.

Time to make it a number one voting booth priority; if your Congressional representatives in the House and Senate won’t put a stop to it, get rid of them until we have a Congress that will get the job done—including a veto override as necessary. If we can’t do that, we don’t deserve our Constitution.

It’s really that simple, granted that it couldn’t just happen overnight: time to clarify and ultimately rectify that way-out-of-date Second Amendment—and to hell with the NRA, which today struggles to justify private ownership of military weaponry whose only legitimate purpose is to allow combat soldiers and law enforcement personnel to kill as many bad guys as possible as quickly as people—as distinguished from just making them available to anyone with enough money to buy one or indeed as many as they can afford, no questions asked.

While we have always had weapons, we have not always had mass shootings. It is not our second amendment that is the problem. We have always had the second amendment, we have not always had mass shootings.
We need to take our children back. This is a parent/teacher/preacher problem. 1, 2 or all 3 could solve this problem.
Outraged that 9 people and 26 more were wounded? 4 people dead and 43 wounded in Chicago and we call that Sat. night.
Try teaching our children about the sanctity of life instead of pretend pronouns for their penises. Teach our children the Golden Rule instead of how to abort a fetus. Take away Grand Theft Auto, and substitute with positive real life experiences instead.
This is not a gun problem. Our youth are the problem.
White male youth especially.

Funding facilities is a different issue. Has nothing to do with socialized medicine.

I'm in my 40s now, I grow up half of my life ina country where guns are non existent...infact I dont know anyone who knows anyone who saw a gun before. Guess what ? No mass shootings. We had crazy people that go crazy. They pick a knife or a bat and go one rampage the result? Few cuts, bruises and in extreme cases one dead person. Now if they had access to guns like in America we would have the same mass shootings as the US.
That been said a society that doesnt cure a mass shooting issue after thousands of citizens die each year is a sheep mentality society that's led to the slaughter house.
The same thing can be said about Medicare for all and education. Americans are made to beleive that they dont deserve them, and they getting robbed by the gun, medical and other industries that sponsor politicians that protect their interests and not the interest of the people.

Oh, no. That would be acquiescing to the dreaded "PC culture". It's best to induce butthurt and " liberal tears".

With that being said. What do you believe would be helpful?
For starters stop focusing so much on the type of gun used and focus on why so many late teens to early 20s people feel the need to do this. The gun control part is important but it’s only a part we need to realize this is a complex problem with no simple ten second soundbite solutions.

You's have a point, but it is the dreaded "PC culture" that brought us the intolerance to begin.
