Mass killings

Right now we live in a nightmarish society. But it’s OUR society; surely we can vote—or if necessary, violently shove—our way out of this ugly, intolerable situation! Only the most irresponsible, cowardly GENERATION would just let it continue. Those kids and other human brethren getting massacred are YOURS.

Time to make it a number one voting booth priority; if your Congressional representatives in the House and Senate won’t put a stop to it, get rid of them until we have a Congress that will get the job done—including a veto override as necessary. If we can’t do that, we don’t deserve our Constitution.

It’s really that simple, granted that it couldn’t just happen overnight: time to clarify and ultimately rectify that way-out-of-date Second Amendment—and to hell with the NRA, which today struggles to justify private ownership of military weaponry whose only legitimate purpose is to allow combat soldiers and law enforcement personnel to kill as many bad guys as possible as quickly as people—as distinguished from just making them available to anyone with enough money to buy one or indeed as many as they can afford, no questions asked.

I'm in my 40s now, I grow up half of my life ina country where guns are non existent...infact I dont know anyone who knows anyone who saw a gun before. Guess what ? No mass shootings. We had crazy people that go crazy. They pick a knife or a bat and go one rampage the result? Few cuts, bruises and in extreme cases one dead person. Now if they had access to guns like in America we would have the same mass shootings as the US.
That been said a society that doesnt cure a mass shooting issue after thousands of citizens die each year is a sheep mentality society that's led to the slaughter house.
The same thing can be said about Medicare for all and education. Americans are made to beleive that they dont deserve them, and they getting robbed by the gun, medical and other industries that sponsor politicians that protect their interests and not the interest of the people.
And those other countries have mental illness and video games just as we do.

What they don't have is this many GUNS
Or freedoms.

Well, let's see.
This past weekend a person in Missouri stole a truck trailer rig and while evading police across two counties he caused several accidents, fleeing from all but the last.
In the course 3 people were killed and many more were injured.
Pretty close to the Garlic shooting.

Hahahahahaha it always makes me laugh when Americans say but we have freedom lol. As if other countries dont.
To those idiots I say here is a freedom that matters:
The US ranks the worst in homelessness
Crimes
Medical coverage
Life expectancy
Most jailed
Highest education tuitions/debt per student

How did you come to the conclusion that freedom exist only in America? Where most Americans witha a majority cant even appoint a president. Where interest group have more power than the citizens. Freedom my ass.

National Open Carry - Problem Solved.

A 60 second response time in one of these incidents still resulted in 9 deaths.
Strict Gun Control Does Not Work.

It only creates soft targets for maladjusted products of our Public School Districts ran by Leftists to attack.

The first line of defense against hatred and criminality is The American Citizen.

The Police are only able to deliver the body bags, after the crimes have been committed.

To what freedoms were you referring?

I find it ironic that "most jailed" seems to be the great government cure for homelessness, crime, life expectancy, medical coverage, and tuition.

And, if we decided to remove a government trying to give us so much "protection" by putting us all in jail, we would only be capable of doing that HOW?

.

For starters stop focusing so much on the type of gun used and focus on why so many late teens to early 20s people feel the need to do this. The gun control part is important but it’s only a part we need to realize this is a complex problem with no simple ten second soundbite solutions.

The type is absolutely relevant. It seems to be the "tool" of choice. Why is that? Because that is what it's designed for.

These "kids" do it because the equipment needed is readily available. It's not just kids. The Vegas shooter was no kid. No doubt why his attack was more devastating.

Great societies also don't allow their mentally ill go without treatment because they consider it "Socialism".
Is there any evidence available to show that this guy was denied mental health treatment because he lacked health insurance?

.

It isn't just health insurance.

Sen. Creigh Deeds settles wrongful death lawsuit in son's suicide
That is a fuck up by the mental health provider and a gap in laws.

You went from denying Defiant1's point to confirming it.

.

It was because we would not fund enough facilities.
Funding facilities is a different issue. Has nothing to do with socialized medicine.

.

You have to be able to cover the treatment somehow.

Again, did this shooter NOT get treatment because he had no means to pay for it?

Completely irrelevant to my point. Maybe he has billionaire parents. I do not know. That wasn't my point.

Here is an idea. How about we start teaching very young children, and continue to teach them right tup through adulthood, to tolerate people they disagree with?

Oh, no. That would be acquiescing to the dreaded "PC culture". It's best to induce butthurt and " liberal tears".
You's have a point, but it is the dreaded "PC culture" that brought us the intolerance to begin.

That is some backwards assed logic there.

What you call PC, I call civility. It's being respectful of others feelings about their beliefs and ideas. Calling people wetbacks, fags, thugs, etc....especially for the purpose of illiciting a response is not a belief or an idea. It's malignant behavior. Uncivil behavior.

You see, that is where you are exactly backward.

You see, if someone says, "That wetback...".

What is more tolerant. Telling them they cannot use that language, or just pointing out that they're comment is wrong and hurtful, yet not hating the person and just moving on with the conversation?

Tolerant means you disagree with the person's words, actions, or beliefs. It does not mean you shut them down for using language or words you disagree with.

Because I'm able to read your posts.
My posts are preoccupied with responding to the knee-jerk reaction we get every goddamn time this happens.

We're not getting rid of the AR system, period.

If you want to talk about other solutions, I am all game. So far, my attention is on the people trying to butt-fucking my liberty at the drop of a hat.

.
f you want to talk about other solutions, I am all game. So far, my attention is on the people trying to butt-fucking my liberty at the drop of a hat.

These shooters are "butt-fucking" your "liberty". Just like mobsters and bank robbers did with fully automatic weapons a century ago.
No, relying on government to fix this problem is where liberty gets butt fucked.

.
Ok. So who is going to fix it and when?
When does this become a problem the govt should address then?
I believe my liberty to move around freely and safely is being hindered. The general welfare of our society is being impacted as well.
And that was the same problem you had 50 years ago or 100 years ago, or in 1776 or 1066.

Does anyone take personal responsibility for their security?

.

I've never had that problem until now. None of us have. I've never had to think about the possibility of avoiding large public gatherings before.

Who is going to fix this and when?

Other than the police - no armed citizens stepped forward to stop the carnage in El Paso and Dayton. Why not? Where were all the brave NRA gun nutters?

Shooting a moving target is a hazardous thing to do in a room where a bullet can ricochet.

Shooting a moving target in a crowd could be the death of an innocent person, even if the other shooter stands still.

If a civilian's bullet wound up in an innocent bystander's body in the autopsy, that person could be considered an accomplice.

If a vigilante moved in on the shooter, he may think wounding the killer would be okay, unless he had shoot to kill skills and knowledge of a professional law officer.

The NRA people are not nutters. They practice gun safety that protects people, and they learned about safety from their NRA workshops that train people when to use guns and when not to. A crowded mall or extremely busy discount house is a bad place to take a risky chance that could decimate innocent bystanders. If that happened, hundreds of people would be having bad dreams all the time.

Do you wish something bad to happen to the one organization that teaches safety to its members, or are you mad at them because they stand in the way of the Democrat dismantling of the Second Amendment and access to encroaching on other freedoms ever thereafter.
