My friend works in a hospitals HR and he told me they are doing round after round of layoffs in order to save their maternity ward due to lack of business/patients. He works at a large hospital in Vegas.
I then did a google search and it appears to be happening across the country. Young people are not having any kids and for good reason. They can afford themselves how are they going to afford to take care of another person.
As a father if 4, I totally feel that pain. I love and cherish my kids, but the scarifies I make are tough and I wonder if I would make them again.
Is it a good thing? When I get to retirement age there will be a crunch because their won’t be young workers to support my lost wage (although I saved for retirement so won’t have to rely on the government).
I personally was fearful of the rapid population growths in the passed 100 years. Let’s be honest it the population growth was unsustainable.
This does seem to be a global phenomenon. It is happening through Europe, China, Russia, Japan, Korea, throughout Asia, Arab nations even into Latin America!
But off course not Black Africa (as opposed to the Arab north). They continue to reproduce like rabbits and the flood the west with poor, ignorant, and no skilled immigrants. I digress.
It is scary what is happening. This could be by design. Lack of people having kids could lead to a Brave New World human growth farms. They would be wards of the state and groomed to be obedient citizens.
