Michael Cohen office raided by FBI

Every citizen is free to spend all of his money to support any candidate as long as he doesn't coordinate with the campaign.
That is simply not true. Like, not even close.
It is absolutely true. There are no limitations on how much you can spend to support your candidate as long and it is not a contribution to the campaign and that you do not coordinate with the campaign.
so if one meets all those conditions, as you say. Think Cohen's going to squeak by on that one? I say today's events render that... unlikely.
lol He doesn't have to "squeak by" because he didn't break any laws.

Oh. SO many laws.

Since he paid her with his own money there was no connection to Trump. That's why you had to make up nonsense about it being an ethics violation for Cohen not to tell Trump about it.

Cohen was, and is Trumps lawyer, that's a direct connection. Whatever Cohen does on behalf of Trump is the same as Trump doing it himself (power of attorney).

The only "out" that Trump has, is if his lawyer acted unethically by not telling his client what he was doing. Which is why I said, Trump threw Cohen under the bus.

Either Trump did or did not collude
Mr. Cohen is at the center of several aspects of the special counsel’s investigation. He also acknowledged paying $130,000 to Stephanie Clifford, who said she had an affair with Mr. Trump.

The F.B.I. on Monday raided the office of President Trump’s longtime personal lawyer, Michael D. Cohen, seizing records related to several topics including payments to a pornographic-film actress.

Federal prosecutors in Manhattan obtained the search warrant after receiving a referral from the special counsel, Robert S. Mueller III, according to Mr. Cohen’s lawyer, who called the search “completely inappropriate and unnecessary.” The search does not appear to be directly related to Mr. Mueller’s investigation, but likely resulted from information he had uncovered and gave to prosecutors in New York.

“Today the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York executed a series of search warrants and seized the privileged communications between my client, Michael Cohen, and his clients,” said Stephen Ryan, his lawyer. “I have been advised by federal prosecutors that the New York action is, in part, a referral by the Office of Special Counsel, Robert Mueller.”

Apparently involves Stormy Daniels - and more.

My question- who is watching the FBI? Is Mueller casting a broader net because he hasn’t found anything, so he convinces Rosenstein ( a Trump appointee) to let him go after Trumps attorney- on matters unrelated to the Russia probe. This thing could turn so many ways, there are so many egos, motives, alliances, political affiliations, professional aspirations, and loyalties mixed together like well cooked spaghetti that we may only know the truth years after the affair is footnoted in history. I do know that all those involved are capable of lying to serve a cause they think worthy.

lol He doesn't have to "squeak by" because he didn't break any laws.
How are you so confident of this? I mean, I could see a rational person on the day the guy is raided say, "It's possible that he did nothing wrong, you know..."

But, to be so confident as you? that is special, indeed.

You are assuming that Trump paying off Stormy was a crime.

Now you're making up more laws. Election laws apply only to contributions to campaigns. Every citizen is free to spend all of his money to support any candidate as long as he doesn't coordinate with the campaign. It's called free speech. You may have heard about it.

Wrong.

The Other Club: Then they came for the bumper stickers

The Federal Election Commission has decided that a bumper sticker violates the McCain-Feingold incumbency guarantee act when displayed on a NASCAR racer.
lol Even for you this is s stupid post.

then why did Cohen LIE and say he took out a mortgage on his house to pay for it, if there was a large retainer in place that could have accommodated the $130k payment?
Stupid question. If he used Trump's money then he paid her on behalf of Trump, but if he used his own money he paid her on his own behalf and there was no connection to Trump.
trump, david dennison, was a part of the NDA....

Which he never signed, so the NDA was never completed and so on and etc.

They can't hold HER to it if HE never signed it.
She entered a contract with Cohen, not with Trump, and she is being sued for violating that contract so a court will decide how much she will have to pay for violating the contract.
it was a 3 way agreement, one party did not sign it...... so, we will see on that.....
It was a two way agreement between Cohen and Daniels. At no time did Trump enter into the agreement.

Just like the stupid-ass GOP did with Boogie Nights Bill.

It's a bunch of political bullshit.

Did the demo_rats teach to stonewall?

Attempt to REFUTE the facts

Hillary Clinton was directly involved in what the New York Times has called “the biggest campaign finance fraud in the history of the United States.

Yet the fucking US Atty never raided her offices

Cohen violated it first, see my most recent link.
You are a nutcase.

trump was a party to the agreement, under an alias

lol So if Cohen takes a shit, Trump feels better? Are you trying to sound stupid?

lol Even for you this is s stupid post.

McCain-Feingold prohibits in-kind contributions by individuals within 60 days of an election.

Paying $130,000 to keep a porn star quiet to help Trumps campaign, violates that.
