It's argued here all the time. Making people who are already registered jump through additional hoops to vote next time is an attempt to restrict one's voting rights.
Like presenting ID. You're a useful idiot for the Democrat Party

And ANOTHER thing....

I let this clown derail the real crime here. MSU is a PUBLIC university. What they attempted to do is 100% UNCONSTITUTIONAL and this useful idiot knows that. A PUBLIC university trying to dictate how anyone votes or supports is about the most UNAMERICAN thing I can imagine. And only LEFTISTS do this

What that says and the Michigan law says (I looked it up) that if you do not have a picture ID or didn't bring one with you that you have to sign an affidavit stating so.

If I lived in Michigan I'd present the voters registration card I got from the state and sign an affidavit every time.

Not support those who wish to restrict voting access? I can't understand why anyone would want to support those who support that.
It is not the role of a school supported with taxpayer monies to officially become politically active. The board of trustees were correct to pull the resolution.

Have you folks ever noticed this stuff only happens with the political left?

The board of trustees made the correct move - pulling the resolution - state schools need to remain apolitical.

And faculty and staff need to hold themselves in strict "apolitical mode" whilst on-duty.

And... given that the school has a state charter and is funded through state tax monies, it was idiotic and arrogant of them to even contemplate the document.

You'd think that HIghly-Educted Elites would be smart enough to remember who signs their paychecks... :auiqs.jpg:

I find it hilarious that that Republican state legislator bitch-slapped the board of trustees and (quite probably) was the flash-point in making them back down.

I don't see our Constitutional rights as simply something that is political.

That was RECENT. I couldn't post the ORIGINAL article because the Detroit News has become a paid service and I'm not going to pay it.

MSU got YUGE blowback for this and decided not to push it for now.
How they thought they could get away with it in the first place is astonishing, but the Democrat mind...

It would lead to NUMEROUS successful legal challenges, but the party is so deranged at this point that they're just in 100% cult mode.

Exactly

No one suppresses votes and democracy more than the left do.
No.

The left is heavily suppressed by liberals/Democrats, and this is a huge reason Biden is president - the slashing of socialist throats/votes by the Democrat Party in swing states.

Confusing liberals/Democrats with the left is like thinking the Nazis were Jewish.

So, you're saying that elections can be stolen?
