I couldn't think of anything more boring than trying to listen to Pence in debate. The topic is moot-- -- history shows that Mike COULD have selected alternate electors had suitable alternate electors been chosen by every state! Because it has been done before, but the GOP, Trump or whomever running the show did not do their homework. If Pence does not point that out then he is either trying to sidestep the issue or is just one more idiot bunghole in Washington.

Nonsense. You may be referring to Hawaii on 1960. Entirely different.

Actually it's never been done before. There have been instances where stares sent up two sets of electors, and congress, or a committee established by congress, made the determination which electors to use. It was congress (as in the house and senate, or their selected representatives) and not the vice president.

You say it has never been done then you say it HAS been done! Either way, there COULD have been two sets of electors to choose between and the VP would have been compelled to certify one of them. So when Mike says he can't do that, he is only telling a half truth as he COULDN'T do it as alternate electors were never even made available to him by the GOP! Many within McConnell's GOP were as complicit in stealing the election as the democrats were.
