I figure you're detached from reality. If the Dems really wanted to fund the military, all they had to do was not block the funding bill on Friday. Instead, they filibustered the bill and shut down the government. Then, when they realized the amount of blowback and anger, they proposed a bill to fund only the military so they could cover their butts and avoid the consequences of their actions. Sorry, that ain't how it works. If the Dems really cared about the military, why did they filibuster the funding bill on Friday?

If the Dems had even just allowed a straight up-or-down vote, the bill would have passed 51-49 and there would have been no shutdown.
