"More Likely Than Whites…."

9. Democrats doomed an emerging black middle class to poverty and incarceration on Uncle Sam’s plantation, the via the welfare system:

LBJ bought the black vote for the Democrats with a system that encouraged dependency, paying black women as long as they remained single and pregnant. It destroyed the nuclear family
The Democrats deprived black men of their role, to support and defend their women and children.

1966 LBJ expanded the Aid to Families with Dependent Children program. Under FDR, AFDC had been limited to widows, those who had lost their husbands and now lacked a breadwinner at home to help support the children.

Then Democrats began to loosen and expand the rules of AFDC eligibility, eventually getting to the point where any woman living alone with children could take advantage of this program. In doing so, they not only bought a large number of new votes, they also incentivized out of wedlock births single motherhood.
But....they had their captive voters.

As Charles Murray described in “Losing Ground,” the Great Society welfare system incentivized the same negative behaviors that cause poverty in the first place.

Millions of women discovered that they could be better off financially by not marrying.

“Liberal experts” defended the system, denying the effects that were evident to all……

And this became a distant memory:
At one point, black Americans were “….more likely to be married than White Americans.”

I have posted several times about the evidence of God saving America....if Trump survives the onslaught, this will be yet another example.

"In April of 2017, Prager invited ostensibly conservative NeverTrump news media figures to celebrate Trump’s presidency. “Do conservatives — or non-leftists, for that matter — appreciate just how terrific Donald Trump has been as president?” he asked. “And how lucky we are that he won the presidency?”

“What I do know is that they ought to be deeply appreciative of him, and deeply grateful for luck or providence, and certainly for Trump himself, that he was elected president,” continued Prager. “First, it is unlikely that any other Republican would have defeated Hillary Clinton. Second, he has not only surpassed many of our expectations but also thus far governed in a manner more consistent with conservative principles than any president since Ronald Reagan, and arguably Calvin Coolidge.”
