When Barack Obama was sworn in as the 44th president of the United States on January 20, 2009, the U.S. stock market was in free fall. The financial crisis was in full swing following the collapse of Lehman Brothers and the Standard & Poor’s 500 index, a popular measure of the U.S. stock market, closed at 805 points on Inauguration Day.

Eight years later, the S&P 500 index has risen to 2,274 points after one of the great bull runs in stock market history. With Obama as president, the U.S. stock market, as measured by the S&P 500, returned 235%, or 16.4% annualized.

What specifically did Obama do? What's that, you have no answer...OH SNAP!

Yes, Barak Obama can thank the Democrats who had a near Super majority control of congress - who controlled the budget, spending, & economy, for 2 years before he became President and during his 1st 2 years in office for the economy he inherited.

I have been asking liberals for 8 years what specifically Obama did to raise the stock market, they have yet to answer. The fact is Obama's policies were counter productive to growth in the market, it rose in spite of the dick head.

Do you blame Bush for the stock market being lower at the end of his term than when he started?

Or do you have a retarded excuse to give him a pass?

My point is this spending party WILL come to a screeching halt eventually and when it does, then people will know true pain and suffering. Tax and borrow and spend until the whole thing blows up, sounds like...well every apex civilization since recorded human history.
