I like a lot of their songs. But if I ask myself what I like about them it is more because of the E Street Band than Springsteens uninspiring vocals

Springsteen is not known for his singing, like Dylan, Neil Young, Leonard Cohen, Tom Waits. They get the job done though.

Write him. Tell him three things. 1) His promoters aren't earning their keep and 2) he needs to work on it himself as well. Get out there, get known. 3) Make a presence online, stay in contact with his fans.
