‘Mr. Wonderful’ slams Trump ruling: ‘You might as well find guilty every real estate developer on Earth’

I didn't know we had so many seasoned lawyers here!

This whole thing isn't about law it's about business 101 which neither the judge nor the prosecutor has any idea about..... But they are about to find out.

Opinions on values can vary somewhat, but not by multiples of 5 or more. Especially if the valuation is based on verifiably false claims, like square footage or other people having equity. Words have meaning.

What part of the constitution is violated?

The 5 or more comes from this insipid judge undervaluing the properties ridiculously.

Excessive bail shall not be required, nor excessive fines imposed, nor cruel and unusual punishments inflicted.[3]

In Suits at common law, where the value in controversy shall exceed twenty dollars, the right of trial by jury shall be preserved, and no fact tried by a jury, shall be otherwise re-examined in any Court of the United States, than according to the rules of the common law.[3]

No State shall enter into any Treaty, Alliance, or Confederation; grant Letters of Marque and Reprisal; coin Money; emit Bills of Credit; make any Thing but gold and silver Coin a Tender in Payment of Debts; pass any Bill of Attainder, ex post facto Law, or Law impairing the Obligation of Contracts, or grant any Title of Nobility.

Our civil courts are supposed to be for when private parties have a dispute, not when government knows it can't win a criminal trial and decides to use the civil courts and their lesser evidentiary rules as an end run.
So you don't think you should have to obey all laws?

This ruling WILL GUT THE NYC REAL ESTATE MARKET. They have no idea how bad it is going to get. As one guy stated, “it’s like being convicted of murder and no one is dead”

Obama set the standard for weaponizing the government against those who opposed him. And he is the one who made political opponents into "enemies" instead of 'the loyal opposition' that had been the standard in politics since the Constitution was ratified.

In 2010 Obama famously said: ""If Latinos sit out the election instead of saying, 'We're gonna punish our enemies, and we're gonna reward our friends who stand with us on issues that are important to us' -- if they don't see that kind of upsurge in voting in this election -- then I think it's going to be harder. And that's why I think it's so important that people focus on voting on November 2nd."

Taking his mindset and language to the extreme, Democrats now consider the government and the courts as their personal weapons to destroy any who oppose them. The ridiculous NY ruling in which all the money, if paid, goes to the state and not to any victim as there were none must not be allowed to stand. If it does we become a totalitarian government in which fear of retaliation by the government shuts down all protest or differences in opinion, keeps the people quiet, orderly and compliant with whatever the government demands of them.

And yes, all private business becomes obedient pawns for the government to use or else.

That was the tax appraisal value that trump claimed for the property.

You do realize that tax appraisal value is far less than market value? Probably not, because you're not very bright.

Next time you're filling out an application on a bank website for a home equity loan, and they ask you the value of your property to determine a loan to value, you better be very conservative in that estimate. I doubt you even own property though.

The 5 or more comes from this insipid judge undervaluing the properties ridiculously.
No, it doesn't. It comes from a lot of things, specific to each property. You should read the ruling.

For example, at Trump Park Avenue, they ignored that a dozen apartments were rent stabilized, which means that they overvalued them by 700%. In another example, Trump had an appraisal done that came back at about $15 million. Trump used $161 million, which somehow included the value of a half dozen mansions which did not exist and could not legally be built anyway.

Read the decision, because it's pretty clear you only know what you've been told about it.

If any of that made a bit of difference, trump would be tried before a tribunal of bankers. Trump broke our laws and is facing our courts, no matter what you or any bank might think.
Can you quote the laws he supposedly broke? Better yet, can you point out previous rulings of the same, where banks approved loans that the client repaid in full and on time?

Based on your opinions, every homeowner in America is guilty and should be prosecuted for making their mortgage payments on time…

Why would I be afraid of a twice impeached, multiply-indicted, washed up ex reality TV personality, shoe salesman?
You have nothing to fear from him but the genie that just got let out of the bottle ....that's a different story.
