Liberals are attempting to discredit Trump by parsing his words. The key phrase is that Trump saw "thousands of Muslims celebrating." Of course, the video didn't show thousands of Muslims celebrating 9/11. To do that, you'd need footage from the Goodyear Blimp floating over the stadium at the Meadowlands. But there were significant numbers, dozens at least, who were celebrating. But because the "thousands" part of Trump's claim cannot be substantiated, the media want you to think the whole thing never happened.

A Washington Post reporter was even interviewed about an article he wrote at the time describing police investigating reports of Muslims celebrating 9/11 in New Jersey. The reporter, Serge Kovaleski, answered very carefully, telling CNN he had no memory of thousands, or even hundreds of people celebrating. But nowhere is he asked if he saw dozens of people celebrating. Because the media want you to think it never happened.

I vividly remember seeing videos on (shall we say) 9/12/2001 of streets crowded with Muslims cheering the events of the previous day. It seems to me that these specific videos were taken in "Palestine." There was mention of Muslims cheering in other venues, but I do not recall seeing videos of cheering in the streets anywhere in the U.S. Certainly it would have been NEWS!

Perhaps Mr. Trump saw such videos ("thousands" is probably made-up bullshit), and maybe he didn't. What is not really in dispute is that a large number of mainly-Middle Eastern Muslims in the U.S. - many of them U.S. citizens - cheered the bombings privately, if not publicly.

It is ironic that the MSM jumps on things like this - at worst, an exaggeration - and remains silent when, for example, Harry Reid makes up a bald-faced lie about the Republican nominee for President not paying any income taxes for ten years.
