Smugglers will provide all the semi-automatic and fully automatic weapons wanted by the drug gangs and sell the remainder to civilians who want the firepower for home defense but don’t already have a a grandfathered semi-auto weapon.

In passing, this is what a 30 round clip would look like: I believe you are talking about banning 30 round magazines.
