5 fucking hours because of 1 broken stud on the exhaust manifold that we grinded on forever then broke a half dozen drill bits trying to bore out.

Got it all together but gotta get a shop to bore out the one stud to get a bolt in it.

The difference in throttle response was kind of a shock.

Dandy Muffler says No Muff Too Tough, No Pipe Too Tight, or he did till his wife made him take the sign down. Now he says Drive In, We'll hear you coming. Doesn't have the same ring to it, though.

Was the broken bolt close to the surface of the manifold?
Like within in a 1/4 inch or so?

Use a torch like real muff men do.

WTF does a torch do for you if your dealing with a broken off bolt?
Ever hear of a cutting torch? Guess you haven't.

Yeah...I've got one sitting in the garage.
Not useful for removing a broken off bolt.
Unless of course your plan is to cut apart the manifold to remove the broken off bolt.
Seems rather counter productive but hey...you go right ahead.

If you have part of the broken bolt sticking out or have drilled a small hole and are using an extractor. Heating up the area around the bolt will make it easier to remove. Done it many times. ...

If you gave something to grab yeah.
But how often does that happen? 9 times out of 10 it breaks right at the surface.
